And after Ziplines.... SKIs / or a LUGE for the snow biome.

Cause minibikes dont get to 80mph down the ice half pipe

What I would like even more is a wing suit. Skip zip lines, and gyro, and gimme a wingsuit ... :D
And add this zombie to combat all the flying around. :p

Ziplines sound cool on the surface but the real wish is only to make the game easier.
Now the behemoth could throw spiders and zombie dogs behind your walls, making your life more exciting!

Or he could pick you from the battlements and throooooow you. (queue

Yes, please!

i find it funny most ppl hate the behemoth but theyll play DiD on 30 min days on insane difficulty with no problems btu mention the bhemoth and its the end of the world lol god you guys are chickens

It's not being chicken, it's wanting to not be bored with yet another bullet sponge. I can add a 0 to the hitpoints of any zombie right now... But I can't add a zip line.

I love the idea of this argument. I agree zip lines can be used to easily avoid threats. But then...you have the gyrocopter. And the argument doesn't hold much weight any longer for NOT having ziplines.

On my first post on this very forum, @Roland has a avatar with the quote: "Navezgane Zipline" and since them i'm imagining ziplines crossing those Random Gen. stupid large rivers... make our dream true :D

It's a stylistic thing, not a difficulty thing.

I want the zombies in the game to be zombies - dead humans that are still walking around and hunger for flesh - not outlandish monsters with special abilities. I'm not terribly happy with the spitting/exploding cops, but they're just this side of going too far. The proposed behemoth was way over that line (and I'm also concerned about the recent talk of "boss" zombies in one of the recent videos).

When I weigh these two choices, magically, I think of:

Behemoth
  • will devistate topside builders (with correct pathing)
  • will devistate underground dwellers, by stomping (with correct stealth, feeling vibrations)
  • spawns for late game horde nights (will force you out of your base into chaos, to save it)

Zip Lines
  • attracts spider zombies that can also use them, both ways (with correct pathing)
  • would be great for underground use (with massive A11-sized cave systems)

When I weigh these two choices, realistically, I think of:

  • The greater challenge would be the Behemoth, if unflawed
  • The one that would work right-out-the-gate would be zips (and they're optional to use)

I still have that pic on my profile page. That was my longest running avatar. I’ll probably switch back to it if the devs decide to reverse their decision.

I see ziplines as a building feature. I don’t want a grappling hook gun thing. No instant zip lining from danger. I’m thinking something you build ahead of time over rivers, as part of your base design, across building rooftops in cities, etc.

They would add to the creativity of base design. There would be no quick escape out of danger at any moment because building and attaching the two ends would take time and planning.

We already have the get out of a jam magical instant escape/ascend/descend ability in the form of wood frames and nerdpoling. Ziplines wouldn’t be for bypassing the skyscraper interior. It would be for establishing a base at the top and creating a network of descents to nearby roofs and look cool while doing it.

Also, remove the ability to nerdpole devs.

Nerd pole up to 3-4 high so most constructions can be built without too much trouble. But yes, past that, it does undermine the major POI's in a big way.

When the idea of ziplines was presented in my mind were 2 things - easy river crossing and faster go to the red moon defensive structure, or towers , anything but not to avoid zeds. More like to get faster to them and have fun with them. Who the hell would want to run away from zombies in a zombie game ?

Uhmm...

One might want to do that because it's a zombie survival game and the point is surviving and not merilly killing zombies for no reason?
