I still can't definitively say that it won't be in November. Good progress is being made. Before the end of the year is almost a certainty at this point. Stop with all your 2019 nonsense good people.

My Prediction was build 192, TFP will release on december 19th. I got 5 on it lol

 
Build 180 tonight had some important fixes to random gen. Testers are giving it a go now. They’ve been playing Nav up till now.

This sounds so very hopeful! I'm eager to hear if any major stuff has come to light from testers giving the random gen a go !

I feel like to push this update out sooner than later, some of these things need to be streamlined and improved upon later. Sure, they could probably do so much more to make it complex now, but push the update another half a year, if we're that lucky. I feel like they are now at a spot where they either get this streamlined, debug the game breaking bugs, and push the update, or they can keep working on it and everyone still be mad at them for taking longer just to add complexity. I'll let them get A17E out, get stable out, then see where they go from there with the updates and patches. They have a future plan, etc. all lined up for years ahead I bet, we just don't see it. By not knowing, we all seem to assume the worst. It may seem simple now, but give it the time it needs, I see this becoming complex again at some point.

 
Gah just release it as an experimental build already. I keep trying to play A16 but I just can't get in to it thinking that any minute now A17 is going to release and I will need to start over again.

umm...I understand everyone is sick of the wannahaves who come in shouting. Technically though, his statement isn't incorrect.

Alpha 17 was started over a year ago. The point hof having an Alpha im sure we can all agree is having it out at some point, so a promise for an update is implicit. That update was promised then over a year ago, at the start of the Alpha.

What you are reading into it, that we should have HAD the update over a year ago, is not actually present in the text.

Since his text was sort of ambiguous (i.e. not well written) there's no way to figure out what he actually did mean, so no lie can be determined either. Since a accusing someone of a lie/untruth is sorta a big thing, it prolly should be avoided.

People have been frustrated with the long delay. More then a year for an Alpha is way way beyond the average expectation of an alpha waiting period, so you can't really begrudge him/them/us their(/our) frustration (even if it isn't really helping anything). He want to play with his friend and they don't wan't to because they are not already invested and (think they) see a recognisable pattern here that often/usually leads to a certain outcome, even if it doesn't seem to be the the case here. However they wouldn't know that...since they are not already invested.

That's info that is relevant (if not new) for TFP.

We got a while to go if streamers get it first because they need to plan in advance for it and advertise it. I say forget the streamers first. Kind of like rubbing it in our face.

Dec.13th i [posted it months ago we may not get there but instead pass it.

BUT!!!!

i have seen the posts by joel and i am impressed i like what i see. 7 days to die is not gonna be 7 days to die anymore.

It is gonna be a whole new game. I like this. it looks great i will wait and yeah this is the longest time ever waited. but they are stepping it up, so lets just wait we are gonna be rewarded for now go be bored and rage elsewhere.

i bet after this patch we will start to see patches alot quicker.
