Per the last Dev blog and/or video from Madmole it didn't sound like per his comments that there were that many bugs before the release, even though I see emails indicating they are performing new fixes and builds every day? Just curious how big is the dev team?
Go into your game and look at the credits.

Yeah I don't know maybe poor Roland is over stressed or needs to go to the happiest place on Earth and vacation. In all seriousness the few times that I have posted I feel more like I have been yelled at but deal with it simply because I have supported and love 7DTD from the beginning but the negativity needs to go.

If a short answer "look at the credits" (correct or not) sounds like negativity to you, it may be you.

How many times to they have to repeat that zombies aren't "lootless" in A17, they've just changed the way the loot gets dropped? Backpacks instead of torsos.
They could repeat it a million times and it wouldn't matter. They aren't listening. Light's on but nobody's home.
Of course zombies are lootless in A17. I haven't seen a single zombie drop loot in the videos, and Joel himself said that they "most likely don't have loot most of the time". That's "lootless zombies". The statement is not wrong and people are not literally retarded because there might be a few zombies that still have loot.
If people were smart, btw, there would already be videos showing and explaining in detail how loot is changing in A17, should Joel have misrepresented it.

Here is a good example for you Kubikus. For months and months the developers said that there would be no HP bar and that it was being used as a development tool. But all videos that were shown had the HP bar. So despite the developers assuring that eventually there would not be HP bars on enemies, videos showed contrary evidence because the videos were showing something that was a work in progress. Guess what? HP bars are gone.

One single video from a month ago shows no loot being dropped from zombies. The developers have said that loot will be dropped from zombies. I can tell you that a video shown today would not show loot being dropped from zombies because it is still a work in progress. Eventually though we are assured that zombies will drop loot.

People need to stop treating last month’s video as some kind of immutable lore establishing the cannon of 7 Days to Die. When more recent developer explanations contradict the video, you go with the more recent developer explanation.

Zombies are going to drop loot.

Zombies are not going to pop out if existence. Last months video and the viewer’s assumptions and speculations and failure to grok WIP vs Final Implementation do not establish the reality.

Video today is confirmed? )))

Alpha 17 should be interesting. I don't expect a game developed by a handful of people to have updates very often. It takes a lot of time to work with code and graphic assets when you don't have an army of college interns and fresh in-debt student loan holders working for you 18 hours a day 6 days a week, terrified they won't cut it in the real world; thus willing to sacrifice everything for a JOB.

HOLY F N PRETZELS

Within the next 2 weeks. Due to call of duty red dead and fallout 76 beta coming after. It makes more sense to aim release before those games come out due to them wanting as many streamers to stream as possible

What you think will happen when streamers are going to stream a Pre-Alpha EA game. People who don't read anything or listen what a Pre-Alpha EA game seen only a buggy game and lose interest. So they want to make sure that the experience is good. As many already said, people expect a Pre-Alpha EA gamerelease bugfree etc. They don't wanna test the game and restart there game every 3 days because of a new build.

It is indeed.

For months and months the developers said that there would be no HP bar and that it was being used as a development tool.
Here's why it's such a great example: I did not hear them saying that even once. Never. I heard "people" saying that, though, kinda vaguely mention it, like it was rumours, or hearsay. But devs? Nope. Where did they? Somewhere in the infinite depths of the "developer diary"? And you, like, seriously expect the average player to follow that thread? And if they don't, they're, what, morons..?

But all videos that were shown had the HP bar. So despite the developers assuring that eventually there would not be HP bars on enemies, videos showed contrary evidence because the videos were showing something that was a work in progress. Guess what? HP bars are gone.
But was it assured in a video? I don't know, maybe, I never cared much about that feature, assuming it'd be easily modded out. I might not've payed attention enough. Certainly it wasn't said in videos "for month and month".

No Roland. You guys need to stop treating people like they were idiots, when they don't scavenge for bits and pieces of developer explanations in that one big mess of a thread called "developer diary". That is not only very rude, it is also "not particularly wise".

Zombies are going to drop loot.Zombies are not going to pop out if existence. Last months video and the viewer’s assumptions and speculations and failure to grok WIP vs Final Implementation do not establish the reality.
I don't know what zombie loot will be like. I heard some of what you said, it sounds much like speculation. I do know, however, that there are many who are upset about it, it kinda has become an "issue", cuz many like looting zombies, myself included. I also like gore blocks, I really liked the old mechanic when gore turned into terrain blocks, that was awesome. Anyways, if the company cared about "issues", aka upset players (aka upset customers), they would clarify things. If they would have a habit of clarifying things, there might be several platforms, such as Twitter, facebook, whatnot, or a proper announcement forum 'round here, but as it stands, the only accessable outlet the company's running is Joel's youtube channel. With 60k subs. That is where the issue came into existance in the first place, and there it could be resolved and clarified.

It's quite simply the case, Roland. You can say that the company doesn't give a damn. Fine. But you're wrong to say that people are idiots because they don't religiously follow the developer diary, that's full of "my dog just farted"-anecdotes, with a bit of usefull information every 50 posts.

Lol...Thank you Orsey. You made my point beautifully.
I sure hope that’s what you were trying to do...
See. People are stupid. That's your stance. Devs say something reasonable, idiotic people turn it into something else.
It's not true. Roland.

#1. good information. a reply to bloom with this sentence and most of the discussion would be over. but let's dissect your response for the fun of it.

There is no inside source that I can think of that would tell Bloom what he is claiming since what he is claiming is patently untrue.
repetitive & aggressive

Going into the forum and claiming insider knowledge about something that I know for a fact is false is what would have me ready to ban the dude.
speculation

In other words, from my perspective as someone who is in the know he is lying in order to troll or sew more doubts.
so what?

And look at ravend...believes Bloom's trash.
saying the mod's overreaction is poopy and wishing you can't sleep at night is acting aggressively against the interest of the developers? that was about as kindergarten as i could get it. guess the irony was lost.

Ignoring someone who is acting aggressively against the interest of the developers and the game by way of deceit is not how this works and I really don't care whether you think it is poopy or not. Your bias seems to often be towards antagonism as well so of course you would want the moderator staff to let someone push some sort of doubt and gloom campaign by falsely claiming inside sources.

Would love to hear an update on this. I've not known bloom to lie. Criticize, inflame, play devil's advocate, take-the-piss... yes. but lie to push a false narrative... no.

I'm not the one who handled the moderation but I will finish it unless Bloom comes clean. I've reached out to him privately. We'll see where it leads.

#2. great information. response could have just been this statement and been done.

A17 is progressing well. There is just way more work than was anticipated getting all the features finished and working with each other and ready to be playable. They are not experiencing setbacks. They continue to update the game almost daily with new builds.
why the animosity?

You can trust Bloom with his "secret inside source" or take the truth from this actual inside source typing away to you right now.
why the foreshadowing?

If the game takes until 2019 to finish then it will.
plan/hopes? conditioning much?

But that is not the plan and it is not the hope of the development team. They want it to be wrapped up as quickly as they can and plan for it to be this year. The only thing they have said is likely not September. So we look to October with hope.
With all due respect Roland. You are normally even keeled and it usually takes a lot more to rile you up. Now that it's been a couple of days, re-read this and think on it. You literally could have said #1 & #2 and everyone would have likely moved on.

Here is a good example for you Kubikus.
I'll ask again; is the loot quantity/quality altered? Yeah, I get it. Zombies still drop loot. But do they drop loot as much as before?
