I want the best building spot for my base
Bob, Bomb is right. It's really up to your imagination based on what you're dreaming of. It's also one of the reasons why I love this game so much. For example, do you want a simple three block tower, a tower that reaches up to the sky, a tree house, a subterranean dungeon with a vast tunnel system, an iron cage with a trap door? Sky's the limit! Once you decide what kind of base you want to build, I'm sure people can offer better suggestions.I want the best building spot for my base

Right now I'm building a base on the side of a cliff. Why? Because I envisioned a base where the Zeds could only attack from the front. If they approach from any other direction, they'll fall and break their legs slowing them down, making them easier to pick off. I started a random game and called it Mountains. Sure 'nuff, the game had huge cliffs for me to choose from. Start dreaming and the suggestions will come. Have fun!

Have you played navezgane since the last summer updates? The huge canyon in the desert is amazing. There's a poi in the southern part of the desert, it looks like it's a gift shop of some sort, but it's actually over hanging the canyon.Thx Lax, and also what was the name of that Random World? I've been trying to find a cliff for a base but haven't had any such luck. If you know do tell. I'd appreciate it
I personally like to build as close to the center of the map as possible. I'm more of a looter than a builder, so this gives me equal access to all directions of the map.I want the best building spot for my base
So far it's working out ok. I initially just had the base located inside the mountain and like you said, the Zeds just hovered over the entrance and only a few dropped down. I added a new section with iron bars and a Jail Door directly in front of the mountain for Horde Night so I can force them off the cliff. Dogs die instantly! All the Zeds drop down and break legs and run into Barb Wire Fences. The iron cage is also a convenient place to park my minibike. So far I'm diggin it.Yeah Lax I thought the same thing building a base in a cliff. It doesn't work the way you think it would. On one horde night I only got ten Zed's to come. Most of them just did circles and never fell down. Did it once and never again. Maybe you will have better luck
That's extremely close to my favorite spot and I totally agree. It's never an issue to hit three traders in one day and it's not terribly far from the desert biome for shale. Plus, water is plentiful. The only thing I miss is easy access to perishton, but I've been weening myself off of it lately.I have a spot on the Navezgane map I really enjoy. It is on a hilltop south east of Spillway Lake and just north of the Trader Joels in the burnt forest biome. That spot is almost in the center of the map. Once you get the bike its a quick trip to three traders (One in the burnt forest, one in the snow on the east side, and one to the west near the marina). The hill isn't big/steep enough to stop zombies but a house built on it looks nice. With a shovel and concrete you could easily make the hill impossible to climb. I have my house on top and a mine shaft going down into the hill for rock and iron. Like others have said any spot is good but I thought I'd share my favorite spot.
