PC Whats the best base spot on navezgane

Now it depends on what your building now cuz anything and everywhere could be used depending on what your looking at building. If you wanna base you can build off of I suggest using the Hospital as a base I personally love it but I don't use Navezgane as much so I don't really know what area to suggest to your for building but I'm sure somebody will come along here shortly and tip you off on where to build, hope you find the perfect spot friend,

I want the best building spot for my base
Bob, Bomb is right. It's really up to your imagination based on what you're dreaming of. It's also one of the reasons why I love this game so much. For example, do you want a simple three block tower, a tower that reaches up to the sky, a tree house, a subterranean dungeon with a vast tunnel system, an iron cage with a trap door? Sky's the limit! Once you decide what kind of base you want to build, I'm sure people can offer better suggestions.

Right now I'm building a base on the side of a cliff. Why? Because I envisioned a base where the Zeds could only attack from the front. If they approach from any other direction, they'll fall and break their legs slowing them down, making them easier to pick off. I started a random game and called it Mountains. Sure 'nuff, the game had huge cliffs for me to choose from. Start dreaming and the suggestions will come. Have fun!

Thx Lax, and also what was the name of that Random World? I've been trying to find a cliff for a base but haven't had any such luck. If you know do tell. I'd appreciate it

Yeah Lax I thought the same thing building a base in a cliff. It doesn't work the way you think it would. On one horde night I only got ten Zed's to come. Most of them just did circles and never fell down.

Did it once and never again. Maybe you will have better luck

Have you played navezgane since the last summer updates? The huge canyon in the desert is amazing. There's a poi in the southern part of the desert, it looks like it's a gift shop of some sort, but it's actually over hanging the canyon.

The sight from the top of the poi on the deck overhang is just awesome. Check it out.

I personally like to build as close to the center of the map as possible. I'm more of a looter than a builder, so this gives me equal access to all directions of the map.

But as another poster said, it's all in your personal preference. That's what's so awesome about this game. It's so customizable to how the player wants to play.

Good luck man!!

Bomb, the random world is called "Mountains". Lots of huge, tall cliffs. I almost accidentally drove off one of those cliffs while cruisin' along on my minibike. I hit the breaks just in time as I approached the edge and was like, "awww snap!"

So far it's working out ok. I initially just had the base located inside the mountain and like you said, the Zeds just hovered over the entrance and only a few dropped down. I added a new section with iron bars and a Jail Door directly in front of the mountain for Horde Night so I can force them off the cliff. Dogs die instantly! All the Zeds drop down and break legs and run into Barb Wire Fences. The iron cage is also a convenient place to park my minibike. So far I'm diggin it.

I always liked setting up around the south side of Spillway Lake when playing on Navezgane. I't close to the centre, near a trader and easily lootable places such as a Working Stiffs, Book store and houses. It's not far to the farm either, so grabbing corn is easy. From there, you can easily reach every biome too.

Yeah, it depends on what exactly you consider ideal.

For me, I spawned just south of the junkyard in the Southeast on that map. And I ended up never leaving. For some reason, I never overheated as much there as I do on a Random Gen world. And in truth, with the mini bike, its very easy and quick to get to anywhere on the map no matter where you decide.

But the junkyard for me was amazing. I upgraded it entirely into concrete, with a pit surrounding the entire building filled with spikes, (3 layers outward of spikes, roughly 10 blocks down).

I created bedrooms by using the scaffolding on the ceiling that's located directly under the roof. Added an addition building on the roof that connects the bedrooms to the roof access. I also used the car port as my tunnel entrance out from the base. And the entire roof is surrounded by double layered iron bars so I can snipe downwards at any threat. And once I discovered the reinforced drawbridge, I was extremely happy with the entire outcome.

And originally, where the gun safe is located, I dug downward and created a forge/workshop area. Though this spawned screamers constantly, but with the spike moat, they never lived long enough to be an actual threat.

It was my longest game play, but I abandoned it once it started kicking me out constantly with an error. I was in the process of moving the forge/workshop due west in hopes to reduce lag (which I thought may contributed to the errors), but became addicted to random gen. It's sad though, because I had put so much time and effort into that game, and was prepping to begin building other bases for fun. But I can't complain, that game taught me everything I needed to know.

I personally love being near dessert for the sand so I can make ridiculous amounts of concrete. And finding veins of oil shale means gas is never an issue.

After a while passed day 100+ you will have tons of bases and outposts scattered all over the map. Cause you have to keep yourself busy. Also going out far to loot you might lose track of time and end up with red moon horde night just about anywhere. That happened to me. I was lucky I had some rusty bars on me. I held up at the book store with rusty bars on the counter tops at the registers and I stood on the soda machine and fired away. I almost didn't survive that night. A few close calls.

As allready said, everywhere is fine

I like the hill where Desert meets Burned. East of the East River.

Between both bridges

I have a spot on the Navezgane map I really enjoy. It is on a hilltop south east of Spillway Lake and just north of the Trader Joels in the burnt forest biome. That spot is almost in the center of the map. Once you get the bike its a quick trip to three traders (One in the burnt forest, one in the snow on the east side, and one to the west near the marina). The hill isn't big/steep enough to stop zombies but a house built on it looks nice. With a shovel and concrete you could easily make the hill impossible to climb. I have my house on top and a mine shaft going down into the hill for rock and iron. Like others have said any spot is good but I thought I'd share my favorite spot.

That's extremely close to my favorite spot and I totally agree. It's never an issue to hit three traders in one day and it's not terribly far from the desert biome for shale. Plus, water is plentiful. The only thing I miss is easy access to perishton, but I've been weening myself off of it lately.

On navegame I like to build at the corn farm northwest of diresvile. Very big and very flat so you can build monstrous structures on it

There's a house located NE of spillway lake and SW of the cell tower, just south of the river. It has a decent bit of flat land around it, and it's right beside the river. The first few structures I built in this game are there.

SE from there is a church, just north of the burnt forest, directly south from the smaller lake. There's a large piece of flat land south of that church where I built a horde base.

NNE of there is a large corn farm, which I believe is the largest flat area in the game. I've cleared all the corn and have started building there.

NW of the farm there are three large houses on a dead end road. There's flat land there I plan to build a realistic house on.

E of perishton and W of a small lake is a house with a flat area S of it. I have a small base here I plan to expand.

In the desert, near the edge of the wasteland, is a cemetery. E of there is the canyon mine. Lots of flat land between the two I plan to build on as well.

These are my favorite spots so far, many of them are connected by underground tunnels...that I never end up using.

If your building on X-box. No where. It will always go back to day one eventually. Thats the female dog.

That said anywhere is a good base let your imagination run thats one of the great parts of the game.
