feed it by crafting ‘Rekt’s Chicken Feed’ made from Corn and Rotting Flesh.
Rotting Flesh? What kinds of chickens are these?
I could see having to use sand or rocks in the recipe, but rotting flesh?

The Magnitude system, or what I prefer to call the Boosted Stats system, doesn't have anything in the works currently.
Is there an actual issue with the system, or is this a personal preference issue?
Yes, you can make a perfect weapon eventually. I see no problem with that.Combining doesn't make weapons stronger than intended — it makes perfect weapons
(Posting this as discussion, not a bug report. Nothing here is broken. The combine station does exactly what the code says it should. But I think the magnitude of what it does to loot rarity isn't widely understood, so here are the actual numbers from V3.0.1's items.xml.)
First, what combining actually does
It is not additive. It takes two of the same item and, for each stat independently, keeps the better of the two values and discards the other. Item A's +23% EntityDamage merged with...

I`m not sure what to think about that and the new chicken recipes seem very redundant?Rotting Flesh? What kinds of chickens are these?

Maybe they were vulture eggs from the get go..?Rotting Flesh? What kinds of chickens are these?
Verify your game files. It did the same to me.Steam is being dumb and isn't showing the new experimental to me.
It keeps showing the old one from June. I can't remember how to fix it; this happened once before back during 2.x
i've reset steam twice, verified 4 times. there was some weird thing someone told me to do that fixed it but i can't remember for the life of me what it was.Verify your game files. It did the same to me.
I think the argument is that these weapons/tools can be too perfect too quick. Riamus summed it up well.Yes, you can make a perfect weapon eventually. I see no problem with that.
You're not wrong that perfect gear existing isn't inherently bad — plenty of games let you eventually reach BiS. That's not what my post is pointing at.Yes, you can make a perfect weapon eventually. I see no problem with that.
Faatal, i've intentionally gone on a looting spree and was able to make a Q4 stone axe with 103% block damage bonus by day 4. the amount of magnitutde-related loot is just way too high early on. you can make a near-perfect item disgustingly fast . the amount of magnitude offered and how many slots (i found a Q3 axe with all 6 slots upgraded) needs to be toned down somehow.Yes, you can make a perfect weapon eventually. I see no problem with that.
Sometimes it appears at the bottom of the list. If that's not it, I heard redownloading the latest stable build (or maybe any stable build) helps. Otherwise, good luck.i've reset steam twice, verified 4 times. there was some weird thing someone told me to do that fixed it but i can't remember for the life of me what it was.
I get the complaint, but ... 39 copies is already quite the grind for a game that's meant to be played for 50 hours. And at least it's 39 copies, last patch it was one copy. Perfect has changed, and become a LOT harder to obtain; it's just not an eternal grind.Combining turns that into a 39-copy checklist.
Yeah, I think it is a bit OP, but that is not my call. We have options like reducing loot that does help counter it. My last game I played on 50% loot and I liked it better. I think the game has too much loot, but also not my call. We all have our own preferences and it is impossible to balance it for everyone, hence the settings. You're not wrong that perfect gear existing isn't inherently bad — plenty of games let you eventually reach BiS. The issue is how cheaply and reliably it's obtained now, not that it's obtainable.
A 1-in-2.4-million roll was supposed to mean something — it was the payoff for genuine luck, the moment you actually feel it when it happens. Combining turns that into a 39-copy checklist. That's not "eventually, if you're dedicated," that's a guaranteed outcome on a predictable timer, and that changes the game in ways that have nothing to do with whether perfect weapons should exist.
He's actualy "optimistic" with the 39 copies. Some weapons have just too many stats boosted, many people suggested already to bring it down to 1 per lootable weapon wich seems more balanced. At the current standard rate it's almost like the old system, maybe another thing for the sandbox menu?Yeah, I think it is a bit OP, but that is not my call. Try changing your region in Steam. I think I saw someone mention that a long time back when having trouble getting the experimental to show. You can change it back afterwards.yeah i guess i'm hosed until steam unscrews itself >.<
i want my chicken coop dangit
Yes. This is definitely needed. I want to have density set to high, but it makes the snowy forest and desert so annoying that I turned it back down to normal. One of the devs (schwanz9000, I think) said there was something planned related to not increasing density of biome specific zombies. It's definitely needed. Can we please get a setting for biome zombies of you have zombie spawn high
In the desert you are always swarmed by bees and in the snow you get stoned like if you say 7dtd sucks on the forums lmao
