yeah, reasonably it should be cornmeal, meat/fat, bones and if you want to be cute about it pumpkin seeds. the current recipe seems.....cruel.

You're also are ignoring the fact that with the sandbox options now, looting nests could be something that is drastically less lucrative than what was in vanilla/standard settings. Just because you play a certain way doesn't mean others play the same way.

100% i am a habitual nest looter but my bf only does it for the intro challenge arrow then never again x''D they often use ME as the egg collector in shared games

TFP eventually worked it out and gave us a huge number of toggles so we could make the game as hard or as easy as we wanted, maybe you should change your settings, use lower tier tools and weapons, not combine items so you don't merge boosted stats, and stop trying to force your style of playing onto other people. Just because you CAN have everything tier 6 with maxed out stats doesn't mean you have to.

Well, I when we saw the blueprint for the chicken coop that I thought it was a weird idea. Now that I've seen it, I see I was right... it looks ridiculous. For those who like it, that's fine. But I think it's pretty awful looking. And now I have a red light shining through the wall of my base. Yay.

And then there's the minigame... chickens are uncommon enough that the chances of finding one close to your base is somewhat low. So you're stuck doing a minigame across long distances on the map. So much fun.... And you almost need the tracking perk just to make it even worth trying to catch chickens for it or else you just don't bother trying to get chickens for it and when you happen to find one and it's not halfway across the map since the minigame is going to be annoying over any large distances (and probably short), only then do you bother trying to catch one.

About the only thing I see any use (for me) is the chicken nuggets because they are low resource to make and actually make corn meal worth something and that doesn't require the coops.

In any case, they are fine for people who need a lot of eggs or feathers. For me, eggs and feathers aren't needed after the first few days. I don't care that they were added, but they are even less useful than apiaries.

and just forget trying to do it if you have feral sense on.... super annoying.

And leave it in the middle of nowhere? Why is that good? Or is that a way to cheat? Once they are added, you can remove them and then there's no minigame? That at least solves that, but that's a dumb thing to allow... just like setting the chicken down and immediately picking it back up to reset the "stress".

I think a lot of players will just carry LCB + Chicken Coop with them on expeditions so they can catch wild chickens and convert them into domesticated ones right where they find them, then head back to base with a vehicle full of chickens huh

I'd like to believe that's true, but the game already features gamemode icons that are partially AI-slopified or fully AI-generated. And new foods and their item descriptions, well... The writing itself, along with those little phrases/jokes at the end, feels way too much like something ChatGPT would generate.

I doubt it needs too much attention; but depends mostly on How Much. I haven't tried the patch yet, so functionally I have no idea. Wouldn't be surprised if you could tame them that way though.

I roadkilled the first chicken I saw, because it jumped under my wheels, the second brought me to a romance with a feral blue guy that spits radiation and the rest was the worst Wasteland can give. I don`t care if I put it in a rusty bucket under water after that. It is was worth it.

I mean it, I love it, for the challenge. Also the new food gives good buffs that are cool.

Also, remember, as this is new feature, it will be polished.
