Any chance there will be a sandbox setting to disable traders and/or quests?

In the past my group have done play-throughs where we had to live off of the land, with no quests or shopping from the traders. It was quite fun, but required editing the map by hand to delete trader POIs.
In the screenshot that was shared on page 1, there was a setting to disable quests. There are also more similar settings to make a playthrough play out very differently.

That's a nice option.

Disabling Traders goes a step further. No buying and selling either. It isn't a super common configuration, but enough that I supported it in my modlet by making alternative versions of the traders so that people could edit their prefabs.xml files and for example rename "trader_bob" to "trader_bobx" to switch to a "fallen" trader POI.

Maybe y'all could take a similar path via code?

Oh hey, look at that! I completely missed that somehow. Shutting of quests is a big step, it keeps people from resetting POIs with particularly good loot in them or continuously running T1s for magazine bundle rewards.

Hopefully there's a setting to adjust selling too, it's to easy to wrench a couple cars and then be set for money the rest of the game. Maybe not shut it off entirely, but at least reduce the payout or lower the number of duplicate items they'll buy.

There is an option for trader hours and just today we were talking about adding an always closed choice, which would completely disable them without leaving a flat nothing piece of ground in an existing game.

I think there are buy/sell price scaling options.
 
Is it possible to integrate the Dev Tools into Creative Mode without using a console command?
I know it can be shared via crossplay, so it shouldn't be a problem to implement it directly, right?
If I just want to build and experiment, it's tedious to manually break block by block, or if I want to test skills and don't get an XP boost.

Unfortunately, no. Console doesn't have access to the dev tools or dev items for one reason or another. The only option console currently has is crossplay. Possibly it could also be done with a custom POI that has a custom container that always has those dev items in it. That would have to be on a custom map that is on a dedicated server. But I'm not sure if you can make a custom container work on consoles. It would be a pain anyhow. Better to just get someone to join with you on PC and share the item. Only have to do that once and they don't have to keep playing the game with you afterwards.

Then, there is no need, I can just remove the doors on their pois,
and select that option.

The reason I thought about it is because of a recent event. I forgot
to shut the doors at the Trader, while fighting a vulture. It was different
with constant respawn. I even got Rekt by a Dire, because the big doors
close so slowly.
