How many times did they hit you? Normally you'd start at 0.1% infection so that's quite a lot of hits.

My suggestion is a flamethrower that instantly vaporizes insects and a trap that lures them to their death, for those who like to live in the desert.I know, but it's just ridiculous to walk away with 26% infection after a showdown with two of those things. Don't mind getting infected because being completely reckless, but this just stupid and annoying as hell.
I mean one melee hit is all you needMy suggestion is a flamethrower that instantly vaporizes insects and a trap that lures them to their death, for those who like to live in the desert.
That may be true, but sometimes two or three groups of insects gather, so it would be good to have something to deal with them. I shoot them with a rifle before they spit, but I don't live in the desert.I mean one melee hit is all you need
No clue. Couldn't count the amount of swarms in the air anymore since I was completely dizzy. Could be there were more than two of those guys. At some point I got to my bike and went full Lance Armstrong (yes I took steroids) and escaped. How many times did they hit you? Normally you'd start at 0.1% infection so that's quite a lot of hits.

Once you get used to them, they aren't a big deal. The only time they are really a problem (to me) is horde night because the bees come through the bars I shoot through and I rarely have a chance to see them ahead of time or even find them quickly with so many zombies running all over and it forces me to basically stop fighting just to deal with bees that are moving close and far over and over through the bars and often out of sight only to kill them and then have another set appear right away. They're the only enemy I hate on horde night. But for regular days/nights, they aren't a big deal. As long as you're keeping an eye out when you are walking around, you can usually sprint up to them and kill them with melee before they can send bees. And if you have any ranged weapon, you can kill them from a distance easily enough without them sending bees. Killing the bees is not too hard and I've been hit many times without being infected by them, so I'm not really sure how you had that much infection unless you weren't killing the bees for an extended amount of time while fighting the other enemies.I know, but it's just ridiculous to walk away with 26% infection after a showdown with two of those things. It doesn't always start at 0.1%. I've taken hits that would give me a few percent in one hit. I'm not sure how it's calculated, though. Maybe based on amount of damage taken from a hit or something. Anyhow, it is usually 0.1%, but not always. Still, 26% is extreme and sounds like not understanding the way the bees work more than an issue with the bees themselves. How many times did they hit you? I haven't gotten to apiaries yet, but can you realistically make much honey food/drink without have a LOT of apiaries? The honey production from each is low, even with mods. Unless you only want a couple carried with each player at a time, you'll go through a lot of honey. I think you'd almost need to make it OP just to make it worth making. I probably won't ever make it, but that is just what I'm thinking without having gotten to that point yet.Looking at the new foods made using honey, they seem a bit OP for the tier they are considered and the materials needed to craft them. The foodHoneyBrisket is called a T2 food in xml but seems to give a lot more food than any other T2. And considering its recipe is 3 grilled meat, honey, and a few other bits it seems a bit excessive that it gives 141 food. The stuff used to make it gives a little over 40 food if ate separately. The foodHoneyGlazedSham isn't quite as bad but still seems out of balance compared to something like sham chowder, considering they share fairly similar recipes.
Depends if they adjusted honey loot chances. Honey was always something I had extra of. Not saying a ton, but usually 5-10 at any time just sitting around as I usually grab every stump I come across when out and about. Plus traders almost always seem to have it and you loot it here and there. Unless you are getting infected constantly or something it isn't hard to start having enough to use for food. I just don't get adding honey to something making it 3-4x better than a similar recipe that doesn't use it. A modded out apiary will produce 1 a day I think? Assuming I'm looking at the xml right. Which isn't a lot, but still. Just could use some tweaking, IMO.I haven't gotten to apiaries yet, but can you realistically make much honey food/drink without have a LOT of apiaries? Is that like a hip hop Zed?I can facetank a t6 and walk out at less than 25% infected. How do you take on two bee boys and do worse??
Yeah, I think they said no mods is 1 per 2 days, so with the mod, 1 per day. I do have a handful of honey sitting around as well, but I'm not cooking with it. If I were cooking with it, that handful of honey would be gone right away, especially for 2 players. And I think finding honey in stumps gets less easy with more players because you're usually in about the same area of the map and stumps don't reappear. So one person could loot all the stumps around the area and have a lot of extra honey, while 8 players would loot the same number of stumps and have less honey per person. I know that's not exact as people explore and more people explore more, but I do think available honey decreases with more players in general (talking only about stumps and not apiaries). That combined with the need to use honey increasing with more players and you end up with less honey available with more players.Depends if they adjusted honey loot chances. The same thing happened to me. I killed him with a wood club and it was the same as in your image. It seems that the Rancher zombie has a problem when he ragdolls. His head bone detaches. You can even see it happening as you're hitting him and he goes in and out of the ragdoll state. In this picture, he was not decapitated. His head has stretched behind his body.

Is there a flamethrower in the game I missed? My suggestion is a flamethrower that instantly vaporizes insects and a trap that lures them to their death, for those who like to live in the desert.
Except that it's a fairly common theme in zombie books and shows that zombies can't smell you if you're covered in their guts. Even Walking Dead did that. Also, rotten meat may just not interest them. There are many animals that won't eat rotten meat and will only eat fresh meat. A zombie could easily be the same. Maybe they will even someday make a way to mask your scent for increased stealth by covering yourself in rotten meat.So I noticed, meat of course has smell, which was told. But rotten flesh doesn't? Seems a little odd. If that gets a smell added to it, can we get the ability to bundle that like we do with raw meat?
Oh that makes sense, I hadn't thought about that. Would be a cool way to add to the stealth mechanic.Except that it's a fairly common theme in zombie books and shows that zombies can't smell you if you're covered in their guts.
