PC V2.0 Storms Brewing Dev Diary

1. Still working on destroy area. Optimizations and increasing height checking to favor taller columns of blocks.
2. Yes, you use paper to wrap. You can also take a dip in water.
3. Smell is like sound where they investigate your area not target you. Once in your area, who they see first would be attacked. It could even be an animal or bandit.
Duran Duran? Hungry? Wolf? naaah....nevermind then ;)

Also if I could make a suggestion. Perhaps an action when you click water for the opinion to *clean* yourself. @faatal

Cuz i can see people just holding water buckets and just dropping it on their feet

Maybe even left click if you hold it. So you have to sacrifice water in order to hide your sent.

And maybe even expand that with alcohol tk be able to poor alcohol on your infection to slow it down to clean it.
Yes!

Very cool stuff.

Quick question. How much water does it take to clean the smell off you? Like if you spash an area with a bucket, and run through it, will that resolve the smell?
Or do you need to be submerged? I'm trying to figure out if having a moat that you hop into after you drop your meat off into storage to handle that.
90% submerged.

I am an 80s music guy and do like Duran Duran, but my all time favorite is A-HA. Morten can sing! I have seen them 3 times in concert.

Hello @faatal
It looks like TFP really wants to release 2.5 before the end of the year, so... Is there any feature that you think might not make it in time for 2.5 (anything that still needs a lot of work)?

One last thing... Have you heard anything at all about what's going on with the new Pig model? It was shown even before 1.0 and still isn't in the game. Was it forgotten or cancelled?

Thank you.

I'm sad because I know they won't be as clever; they won't use an encirclement strategy, they won't engage in a car chase.
Well if you look at it from the other side, they cant be complained about being structural engineers.

If people get upset about a buzzard chasing a vehicle, then the toilets would overflow in the game, if they ran
people down with vehicles, and had a demolition derby, or smashed them into their bases.

@faatal What about a player is injured and bleeding would the blood attract the zombies as well?
I hope so. After all it does attract buzzards.

I don't think bandits are going to be made to smart, but there are tons
of possibilities.

Lockpicking doors and chests, stealing your vehicle. When player is unreachable
I don't think they will be attacking the nearest lightpole.

Gives a new meaning for "DESTROY AREA". Like I can't path to him, throw something
instead. Oh lookit a blade trap, hmm lets use the rocket launcher. Oh holy there
is one set of steps leading to a killbox, let's tear it down and blow up the bottom.
Hey did they just stealth into a poi, Let's block the entrance an belt out a chorus
of Come on feel the noise. Is that a death pit? Do you think we should jump down in
it? Let Mikey do it, he'll try anything, and put a timed charge in his back pack.

I know it would not go to this extent, buuuut.

You gotta add two lines to the dialog, please.
Fire in the hole.
Caw! Caw! Bang! F*, I'm dead!

Why hire high-quality professionals when you can do the same thing with carefully applied tape and a cleverly placed piece of string and wire?
