PC V2.0 Storms Brewing Dev Diary

O'fudge, should have said, Tonka, pliers and a can of lysol with a lighter. Guilty.
I won't even expound on the poor Stretch Armstrong incident.
That homemade flamethrower is also revealing Sheetz! 😉

the old Tonkas were tough AF...lol...we used to put one knee in the bed and "skate" down the hill.
We took the wheels off our old ball bearing skates, nailed them to 2 x 4s to make skatebords! Fun times.

Isn't that what they call volumetric "fog"?
Looks great! Congrats. (y)
That is distant storms and is rendered with 3 types of particles on 3 different sized grids. They look a bit different for each of the 4 storm biomes.

As long as it's an actual in-game visual and not an artistic rendering, or Eyekandy.
Then I predict that plenty of Sugarbutts will have some O'■■■■z drops when it happens.
That is from my screen and we are 99% done with it. I plan no more code changes, but the particle artist is still making tweaks.

Hello, will there be a wind indicator? Whether by icon or by natural elements? Movement of vegetation or something like that?
Plants already move based on wind speed. We do not have a wind direction, so motion direction is fixed or generic like how trees shake.

So @faatal Should we expect to see 2.5 EXP with this and other stuff by this weekend or next?

Storm approaching. On the top left, you can also see a green cloud.
Green cloud, clue 1. The shape clue 2. distance clue three. Got me to thinking.
Plus you will have particles in the form of storms and undulating fog,
How do I use this. Continued from above.
Thank God for it i just hope performance wise it will be okay
Adam hit it. There was a lot of conversation regarding being able to see storm
borders. But the underlying part is performance across the board.
Soooo....Eyekandy it is.....for now. <he said with an sinister grin>.
I can work with that.
And thanks a lot Toto; erm...I mean Meganoth, ever since the the first page
That's why I likened Meganoth to ToTo, Because ToTo pulled the curtain back.
All the posts were true. Stretch Armstrong involved 2 bikes, 2 ropes, and plain old Newton.
Tonka the commercial showed it to be indestructible...Not even. reduced to jigsaw
in less than an hour.
Now you see why, I imagine to the Nth level, always have.
That is from my screen and we are 99% done with it.
I knew, I was just poking. That's why I asked for the Peaks stamp, My PS won't decipher them.

I remember the conversation and I work with it. Always, Thanks for the candid responses.
@Roland Thanks for the cookie. it made my day.

It will certainly be. You will not find me playing in 3rd person. 3rd person is quite a different feel from 1st, so taking it away would not be wise.
It would be nice to add a look at the top as in the strategies. I really like strategies. There are a lot of good strategy games. Therefore, there should also be an overhead view on the 7dtd.
I also hope for steering wheel support. There are many good games that use the steering wheel to control.

Kinda hope it forces your gyro to spiral
I find myself wondering whether that would really make sense for a gyrocopter. Its rotor isn't powered so there isn't a motor to cause it to spin the way you might expect a helicopter to if its tail rotor were damaged or overpowered by storm winds (is the latter even a thing?).

Maybe a graveyard spin like airplanes can experience when the pilot is disoriented? But those are caused by a failure on the pilot's part, not by the storm itself, so that would feel about as fair as "you were running near a bush, and one of its branches cut your jugular so now you're dead" (project zomboid, I'm looking at you).

They did say they want too add a helicopter that's a 4 seater

I would still like those peak stamps in a moddable format, strictly for
educational purposes, I swear, on my precious.

And thanks a lot Toto; erm...I mean Meganoth, ever since the the first page,
unless it's an animated gif, Meganoth has planted a recurring subliminal
seed in my brain. Hopeful...but dubious, but still seeing the potential.

It may not be the new G.I.Joe with the kung fu grip, But it's still a new
toy for me, and I got my tools and blue prints ready.;)

Are you maybe confusing me with Crator Creator? Though I gladly take any praise, whether deserved or not ;)

It's quite possible. I may have mentally transposed the two of you. I went back to the
beginning but could not find the post. I remember you thought I was an AI. That
was funny. But the reference I'm making, is when I asked about the storm displacement
and the response was that it was just an artist drawing.

Either way after 262 pages and 8 months of reading, all enjoyable, I'd have to chalk it up to age.
I still appreciate the corrections, and I feel, "that is me myself speaking now", not the third
guy, that praise is well deserved for the team and forum. I have learned a lot over the years.
From the simplest ideas, to the deepest dives in disagreements.

And @Roland
See you made me think another odd thought.

Third person
If everyone is me, myself, and I simultaneously, and we are all people.
Well the majority anyway. There have been some AI interlopers recently.
Then every time someone says I are they not talking in third person?
And what has been accepted globally as third person is really, first person
adjacent. People always say me myself and I never I myself and me.

Like if I say 4Sheetz I'm actually talking about me. The first person descriptive
in that string.

I think it's in the R'lyehian dictionary.
Thanks
