PC V2.0 Storms Brewing Dev Diary

Just a reminder that the dev diary is for discussing features and statements of developers. When a conversation turns into a debate it will be split off to the general discussions forum where you can continue to your heart's content but not clutter up this focused thread. Questions like " @faatal what are you working on currently and what do you like about 2.0?" are more productive than "when is the release date?" in this particular thread. General discussions is the perfect place to debate and vent about release delays and argue about stuff.

What are some of the biggest challenges you are facing and working on right now for 2.0? Or is it mainly things that take a long time to do? (knowing of course that you have obviously so many things to do; like a list that never ends. 😁)

And a huge thanks for all the answers you provide us... We are not worthy... Oh wait! Yes we are as we love the game and are thankful for all the hard work you guys put into it.

Working on lightning right now for storms. Making it player specific for storms and not using the old weird global triggering that was averaging player positions and accidentally including non player entities. Many times when I make changes I end up rewriting parts of systems that were done years ago by programmers that no longer work here. Also trying some shader tweaks.

Next I have to get the Frostclaw temp model replaced and setup and finish his attack, which is a new type as he throws something at you.

Although it is a fine line to walk to manage expectations, I for one appreciate these minor glimpses behind the curtain and under the hood.
