I can't remember the last time I've come across a mine in the wasteland away from any POI and I don't use any mods that would remove mines from the wasteland.  I think the last time I ever saw one was in A20.  They are around certain POI, like military bases, but I haven't noticed them anywhere else.  Still, if you're driving through fast, you aren't likely to notice them and I am never walking in the wasteland except at a POI.
They are scattered all around the wasteland. Forget about being at certain POIs, we all know they are around military camps or the Red Mesa (for example).

Instead of arguing, why don't you do a flyby over the wasteland (debug mode) and look around; you will see them.

I wasn't arguing.  I was stating that I've not noticed them and gave a reason why I probably haven't noticed them, which is a likely reason why others haven't noticed them.

I am using no mods and the pregenerated maps.

Since driving around the wasteland is annoying travel is often done on the streets or with gyro. It seems possible that with luck and less landmines overall we just had the luck to never drive over one (or possibly forget the very rare event).

off-topic regarding the whole landmine thing - in the v1.2 update; if you have a player on my own xbox since dedicated servers aren't yet available for xbox, and they been playing for a bit and build a vehicle or 2 - if you have the land claim set to expire after 30 days of inactivity from the player, i assume this isn't done to the vehicle? especially perhaps the vehicle is outside the land claim area and you can't lockpick it from what i can see - is dismantling it with a wrench the only way .... just for parts?   can't ever capture the vehicle for yourself and/or give it to another player / friend ?

No feedback from anyone?

are you using (ingame) random gen or any third party generator by any chance?

Ingame random gen generates landmines all around in the wasteland, they may have changed the % chance over time, but they are still in AFAIK.
AFAIK, any wilderness mines are not tied to a map and are generated by the game when you start a new game, similar to trees or grass or rocks.  Try starting a new game on the same map and you should see that any mine you saw in the first one is not in the same location in the second one.  So the map wouldn't matter as long as you're not modifying how mines can spawn.

I already said the reason: "Every Unity camera has a good amount of main thread overhead"

Cameras do a lot of work to determine what to draw and then draw it. One camera vs two, means less setup costs.

The weapon camera drew your hands and items in your hands. It was probably setup that way to stop hands and items clipping through walls.

The UI is also another camera.

One question for the developers team: do you plan to add more weapons and specifically guns in the future? For example some modders like IZY (or izayo) add more variety to the same Tier of arsenal by adding some logically higher or lower effectiveness weaponry. "DLX weapon fix" author added ironsight position fix to align front post and apperture of ironsight for most of the vanilla weapons (he also added visibility for gun mods). Are there any plans to add in theory lets say Glock 18 as alternative to Beretta 92 Tier 1 pistol or similar variety of guns for other classes of weaponry? As for alternative some new "between Tier" guns like the ones that get unlocked slightly later than original Tier weapons can be interlinking to higher Tier (e.g. Glock Level 1 unlocked at Pistol T1 level 3, but has higher mag capacity, faster reload, a bit higher accuracy, higher rate of fire but a bit less durable that steel made T1 pistol bc of plastic usage as main material; and etc).

Maybe not have roads divide biomes. As they constantly play havoc with the game every time you drive on them.

I keep getting shifting weather and environmental changes as I drive.

Hopefully they just make the weather/lighting change gradual when switching biomes when they do the weather update.  A "fade" would make things look a LOT better.

Didn't you read my message? There is definitely land mines in the Wasteland. It's fact. I go in the wasteland at night all the time run around and kill mutated, zombie bears and dire wolves. You see the glowing read light on the mines as you pass them. I saw many animals and zombies step on one and explode.

As I said, I can run anywhere without worries since I read the Wasteland book preventing mines to explode when I step on them.

The mines were never removed since they were introduced in whatever alpha they started in (at least, as far as I know).

Maybe you guys play mods that removes them or something. I play vanilla only (I don't like mods).
Yeesh, no need to be rude. I can read. I was stating my own observations along with Meganoth. I don't play with any mods that alter biomes. Maybe they still exist, but if so, they are NOWHERE near the density in A19 when I started. Every few meters there would be a landmine. I cannot remember the last time I hit a landmine in the wasteland, so no, they are not "scattered everywhere".

Landmines in the wasteland in A21 were fairly popular.  I died twice to landmines that were not visually apparent (no red light and/or no physical shape such as hubcap at all).  That is in addition to all of the ones that I did see.  Due to that, I haven't gone into the wasteland in 1.0 until I get Urban Combat Volume 5, and then I don't bother looking for mines.
