The missed post from JaWoodle

The real problem is Jaywoodle got some kind of godcomplex after being able to instigate a review bomb with one of his videos. He felt invincable after that. He probably thought it was a good idea to neglegt TFP prosecutions and go for the money thinking he would be safe. That bit him in the ■■■ and now he is whining about the right to publish the wrong build video, totally neglecting the fact that TFP asked, as a partner, to remove or edit the published video. No pity i feel for him. He took a lucky shot for the money, he lost. I hope they bleed him dry financially personally.

-edit- to sum it up: if you bite the hand that feeds you, you ll starve. And that is exactly what is happening now.
You hope the guy that raises hundreds of thousands of dollars for Animal Rescue gets bled dry financially? What’s the matter with you?

He brought this upon himself. Choices have consequences. No pity from me indeed. Making hundreds of thousands dollars for himself and biting the hand that feeds him? Plain stupid right?

Just because a person does good things don’t make them good or right. Consequences still follow your actions. And if he cared so much about his charity drives should have have thought of the consequences and impact it would have had.

You can’t defend a man that inflicts the injury on himself. And said he did on his own video and boards. Every good deed or thing he does just shows how selfish he was in the end and didn’t think of the consequences.

So decided to watch his video just to see his take on it. Anyone in the creator program know what it is here he blurred out beside April's name? Is it a date or some other kind of info? Just curious.

That has nothing to do with this incident. If not for 7 Days to Die he wouldn't have been in the position he was in to raise that kind of money to begin with.
I said that because they’re judging him and his character claiming he’s got some god-complex and that he deserves financial ruin from this despite using the game to raise money for an animal shelter. Some people are keeping Josh’s character out of the matter but it’s when they use this as a base to claim that he thought he was invincible and that he instigated the review bomb or just make him out to be some horrible person is when it becomes a problem.

I just responded to someone about why I said this. I didn’t bring that up as a defense for his actions I brought it up because they think he’s got a god complex and “invincible” when he’s used the game to do good. And yeah it does look pretty bad to claim that someone gets financially ruined out of a situation like this when they do raise money for charity.

Not for nothing but John D. Rockefeller and Andrew Carnegie were also big into philanthropy and they basically helped to destroy the world.
That’s not even remotely comparable. The worst thing he did was stand on his principles and refuse the fun pimps and behaviors requests after they screwed up. I don’t defend his actions but I do think claiming he’s got a “god complex” and deserves financial ruin out of this looks vindictive and awful despite the public good he’s done

I just said hundreds of thousands for Animal Rescue. He did it for charity to help animals until they find their forever homes. He did it to help animals. He had a charity stream to help animals and he’s done these the past few years. For the animals. Again, note the animals and charity and animal rescue…?

Oh, so now it's not a big deal?
Then ■■■■ING STOP ATTACKING THE FUN PIMPS!
Releasing the wrong build is one thing.
Demanding pointless edits / deletion is another.

One can criticize one while accepting the other. And criticizing either isn't much of an attack.

My opinion, having watched most of Woodie's recent explanation... Just drop the lawsuit, the suits don't need to get payed over this kind of nonsense. There's nothing good that can come of it, the harm is minimal, and over. The video is down. Anything beyond this point is just ego...

You're using his charity work to clean things and I'm saying that being philanthropic does not automatically make one a "good guy".
In fact it is a strategy, started by Rockefeller, to keep one's image looking clean. It's emotionally manipulative.

I mean, the vast majority of money didn't come from him, but his community. The community he has because of 7 Days. It's a ■■■■ty situation but he can't just play victim like he had no options. I'm never going to believe that a content creator for a game isn't aware of what each update is going to be. If he truly didn't know, then it sounds like he isn't treating his livelihood seriously enough. If I was making content I'd be looking for every crumb of info to present to my audience, I wouldn't want to look ignorant. And considering in that first 3.0 preview video he released, he did say later in the vid that he was pretty sure the bandits were just a WIP and not coming in 3.0. Didn't stop him from using it as clickbait to generate views though, did it? I just finished watching his response video and his stance seems to be since TFP wouldn't cover editing costs and all that, he didn't want to remove the content, even though the clickbaiting he had done already made him more money than a normal video would've made.

Looks like he blurred out the date/time?
That's what I assumed it was since that looks like discord to me. Wonder why he blurred it. He also mentioned several times that he had to make a response video because TFP had made a public statement about him, yet he kept pointing to that post as if that was the public statement. As far as I'm aware I can't see that post since I'm not a creator in that discord so I wouldn't consider that a public statement, and since they didn't mention him at all in that post I'm not really sure why he kept saying that.

Stand on his principles?? What principles? To not comply to a request to abide by an agreement?

Yeah, sure, I guess Al Capone stood on "his principles" when he illegally sold alcohol during The Prohibition, he just wanted to "help fellow Americans" after all... :sneaky:

They were live streams, they had to be public to get viewers to donate. Rockefeller made it public to curb outrage against his already scummy business practices. He was scum and everyone already knew it. Josh has had a clean PR record and has been donating way before this happened. Again, it’s not the same thing

Attacking? How is me criticising how they handle their PR-stuff an attack? I have ZERO wish for TFP to "burn down" because believe it or not, I ■■■■ing LOVE this game and I want them to do a good job developing it.
My post was a provocation. People have been attacking TFP because they screwed up.
So what they did is either a Bug Deal... or it's no biggie. Which one?

If it's no biggie then why is everyone saying that TFP is the bad guy?

I see only one honest mistake (that can happen) on the side of TFP, and on the other side a "kid" who doesn't know how to behave in a business context (yes, even if it's the game industry it's still a professional job, or is it not?).

Do you know what state those assets were in? Do you know whether they contained licensed or third-party assets that were never cleared for public release? Do you know what kind of damage an unfinished reveal could do to the marketing of the actual finished product? That’s why the edits weren’t “pointless.”

Also, when you say "drop the lawsuit" are you referring to a lawsuit from TFP? Because despite the title saying he’s getting sued, nowhere in the video does he say a lawsuit was actually filed.

These history analogies are getting absolutely absurd. Like I can’t even dignify this one with a response because they’re apples and oranges and you know it or maybe you don’t?
