Go read one of the other threads on this. I mention it there.
I watched woodles video, in full, and while he may not have understood when he made the video he should have taken it down out of respect for the developers and program once they asked and stated it was an accident. It would have been the bro thing to do.
I feel like you are conflating your general disdain for TFP with this singular incident which can be judged on its own merit without bringing up other development flaws.

How is TFP "killing" that guy? By asking him to not disclose trade secrets that was inadvertantly shared with him?

The real problem is Jaywoodle got some kind of godcomplex after being able to instigate a review bomb with one of his videos. He felt invincable after that. He probably thought it was a good idea to neglegt TFP prosecutions and go for the money thinking he would be safe. That bit him in the ■■■ and now he is whining about the right to publish the wrong build video, totally neglecting the fact that TFP asked, as a partner, to remove or edit the published video. No pity i feel for him. He took a lucky shot for the money, he lost. I hope they bleed him dry financially personally.
-edit- to sum it up: if you bite the hand that feeds you, you ll starve. And that is exactly what is happening now.

What I find absolutely mind boggling and fascinating is that he seems to have fans. And I don't mean that in the sense that he is a bad person or anything and doesn't deserve fans (I don't know anything about him), but that Youtubers become so popular that they kind of get devotees and hangers-ons. I don't know anything about this world, obviously
I actually read some of the comments below his latest video and people seemed to treat him like some idol and were enraged about how he has been treated. And now they come here to whine and cry. Not over the direction of a computer game, but how a guy who makes videos playing a computer game is being treated. Astounding.

To be fair it's no different than people being fans of a video game or it's developers. The pendulum swings both ways. There is no team 1 vs team 2. The partnership is a symbioses. The worshipers of either team can have an opinion of course, but the matter of the fact is, does the partnership have a reason to exist? I don't think there is anymore. The team's opinions doesnt matter anymore in that case. They can scream and cry all they want of course, but this is about partnership and betraying it for some $.

This conduct is absolutely deplorable. If TFP cannot get over their fragile ego about such a minor leak, I will never suggest their game to anyone. I will not play or support their game until they remove these strikes from JaWoodle and a public apology to him and the community. Be better!

They did rush out a message across their socials yesterday to refute Izprebuilt...which shows that they can communicate WHEN THEY WANT TO.

TFP & BI going full Rockstar, because Woodle posted a video that had bandits. Bandits, that the majority of players know very well are on the way. Since the video was already out, TFP & BI could have done this in a very different way, creating more hype instead of whining like angry kids. Especially after they screwed up themselves and gave the guy the wrong version. Sure, he could have edited the video, but the news was already out.

Baffles me that so many people defend Jawoodle (and posts like this just increase his name and Probabaly views for his content to get more money) when he was wrong.
“But they sent him the wrong files” who cares? Once what ever was realized out in the open and he was asked to remove his videos (I’ve heard take down, just make private, or edit) and he refused. Case is right there.
He choose to defy a request from the people that own the content he was showing off and now he’s paying for it.
And the video he put out again today just keeping the flames going so he can get views. He’s starting to just look like a narcissist that needs his money.

Sorry, it just felt that way. It's not to say I dislike you or anything. Just that you tend to land on the more critical side of any TFP debate so I can't help but wonder.

Exactly this. I've been a fan of JaWoodle for a long time, but given what I know of the situation, there is absolutely no way I can defend him. This is a situation he did not create (that fault fully lies with TFP), but the escalation of it was completely avoidable by him simply by complying to the LEGAL request made by TFP.
And don't even get me started on the click-bait-inducing video he posted with a "woe is me" look on his face as if his dog was killed. I don't think I can ever watch his content again at this point.
