Usually yes, but Southern Africa is currently bent under a sea cable break. So if that's the cause I'll try again in a few weeks when the internet latency is restored. Thanks so much for clearing that up.

I will take a look and see if I can extend the time out. It's a balance, since you don't want the users to wait forever for something that will never end, but also give a chance for high latency connections to work. I may not even have access to adjust the time out.

Great job on the mod, I played with it for months and enjoyed every bit of it. I have a bit of a problem, so I took a break from 7d2d and within the time period of the break, I upgraded my harddrive to a solid state drive. I stopped playing a little bit after alpha 17 was released.

Earlier today I finished installing the 7D2D mod launcher and installed darkness falls with the following process: darkness falls -> install game copy (not from steam) -> play mod with pre-sync and refresh mods automatically. Once the game loads nothing is changed.

The game still loads the normal copy of the game, no background change, no font change, everything base game. So I thought maybe there was a problem with the install so I reinstalled everything and wiped the appdata and made sure registry additions were deleted. After reinstalling everything I still encounter the same problem. I am running the game in administrator mode and disabled any anti-virus protections (maybe anti-virus is blocking a connection).

I found the log of what the launcher is doing, heres the link: https://pastebin.com/WxNh0FEX . It seems to me that the program is attemping to download the mod files and cannot download the files due to the link not existing...any recommendations or solutions would be very much appreciated!

You must click at the Button "Pre-Sync Mod". Then the Launcher will be install the mod. Refresh mod can only refresh, what be installed.

It looks like your brother tried to repair the installation of Mod Launcher. I suggest him to uninstall and install Mod Launcher again.

I send the mod zipped to him and after that, he got the issue from the picture above...

The errors in the log file are just trying to read from the RSS feed. There's no error for the failure in download. Does it just take a long time, or does it throw an error?

Is Enable SSL on? Sometimes that helps. If it's on, try to turn it off, and see. Seems like there's a connection issue between his computer, ISP and GitLab.

I am running vehicle respawn, find bicycle in dumpster mods..., but must have been some weird corruption of files during download. I manually updated DMT, although I doubt that had anything to do with it, after doing another fresh install, and this time it worked. Still with those modlets in. So nothing changed, just done it a 4th time and now it worked.

Reason I think it might have been with the download, is the previous 3 times there were interrupts when network went down. Las time it done the DL in one go.

I've been playing Darkness Falls (7d2d 18.3 & DF 2.5 currently) via the launcher with no issues. I probably installed this 7D2D folder via the steam launcher set to default stable and then used the mod launcher to copy it from the steam directory.

I wanted to play a bit of Ravenhearst 6.2.x.x and so I went to download a fresh copy of 18.2 via the mod launcher on the ravenhearst tab. It downloads fine but when it gets to about 79% I get a small box with an error message "The system cannot find the specified file". It pops up a second box with the same error. I'm not sure what I am doing wrong.

Should I be using the steam client to install my desired version and then copy it?

edit: so I ended up just using steam again to get the current ver and let the mod launcher copy it instead of direct download in the launcher

I tried waiting for 7 hours and nothing changed. Also tried reinstalling with nothing changing.

When i dowload the mod from gitlab manualy it takes only one hour.
