Ravenhearst Mod

-In Ravenhearst, trying to repair an item that has 10 durability or less will destroy it, as it loses 10 durability upon repair. Make sure the item has 11+ durability or simply make a new one. As your Construction skill goes up, you will lose less durability when repairing items.

-I'm our group's cook, so I'm not familiar with the construction upgrades.

-This is a vanilla bug. What I've found can work most of the time is to take off your helmet manually and place it in your inventory. Manually place the helmet back on your head and see if that works. This has usually worked for us, we did have one case where it did not and my friend's only option was to use another helmet with a light.
- Im aware that an item needs 11+ durability. My fire axes are well over level 20.

- I have worked out that the helmet light needs to be put into a modifier slot in a helmet... however it allows it to be put into the cosmetic slot which then doesn't actually allow for it to be switched off.

So i'm still in need to knowledge over the axe issue and those damn un-upgradable pillars! lol

@SheepMaiden Your best bet may be to join the Ravenhearst Discord, it gets MUCH more traffic than the forums here.
Thanks, yes i remember trying that before and it glitched out my computer... hopefully someone will know the answers here. My level 28 iron club broke and disappeared just now... i'm a bit peeved because it should have repairs on it...

Don't tools in RH break if you don't repair before they hit zero durability?

I just started the mod recently since version 6.4.4, imo Ravenhearst 6.4.5 is the best mod ever of the game, much more challenging and harder than the vanilla, and I really love challenges, thanks a lot JaxTeller718 and the team.

Btw I think the 100% harvest bonus at level 100 of Tools skills is OP, especially the Construction Tools skill coz it also defines the quality of armors you craft. I swam in casino tokens by farming coolers using a tool with the bonus, and traders buy a large amount of it. Just spend the night time to grind Construction Tools skill and save some books of the skill for the last levels if you luckily got some from loot, and then you can have easy money.

And here is how I beat the game

Survivalist difficulty, 120 minutes day, air drop marked and all default settings.

So work on Ravenhearst is well underway. Its going to be a while since we want to get this right, and I have a lot of stuff going on personally. You can read more on all of that in our Discord.

I was shown something today that will be in RH and I just could not keep it to myself. Here is some of what WookieNookie has cooked up for you guys. Lots more customizable options and we will also be using Sirillions Z2 as our RH UI in 19.

Wookie loves it so much he decided to make customizable options for that as well! Heres a sneak peek.

Hello all, I've been playing this game with my buddy on and off for the past month or so and we are about to start the second horde night, I'm somewhat shocked we survived the first horde night because we ran around like idiots the first couple game days trying to figure things out. It was great fun and now I enjoy this mod the most.

We've been having a hard time finding a research desk but recently lucked out and got a workbench and blacksmith forge so we got that going for us at least.

Anyways, I'm trying to plan our base design expansions and so far we've been upgrading a game building that was flagstone and expanding it with cobblestone walls as needed. My question is in regards to obtaining concrete or sticking with iron blocks for outer base walls. We are close to obtaining an auger (3 chapters out of 4) and I want to know the viability of crafting bulk concrete (which is time consuming) or sticking with iron blocks which are relatively fast and easy to repair with scrap iron (easy to get from smelting iron ore and recovering the iron scrap from the forge).

Is it possible to repair the auger with a basic repair kit, or do you need one of those newer "XXX Repair Kit" items?

Thanks for the help!

I'm not sure if this is a bug or an intended thing, but I've just started playing the RH 6.4 and whenever I drink something from a jar or use a jar of food (haven't had any cans to try it on yet) the jar gets consumed with the food.  I'm not sure if this is something that is intended or not, but its difficult early game when you're just trying to get started that losing *any* sort of resource is hard on you.  Is this just something with my game? Is it a bug? Is there a way to fix this? If not, its not a huge deal, but it can be frustrating.
That is not a bug. Starting with version 6.4.3, you no longer get jars back after consuming a food or drink.

You get empty cans back when you drink them. I'm not sure if that is a bug then, but the strategy we used was to keep all the empty cans we got and turn them into cans of boiled water because we would get the cans back each time we consumed it. This allowed us to stay hydrated even if we got dysentery up to 66% from drinking multiple cans of water (10% dysentery from can of boiled water).

To get bottles of water you need to be able to craft the empty glass jars in bulk which requires a blacksmith forge and mold. Molds are fairly easy to make, getting the forge is the tricky part. Until then, the only reasonable way to get water consistently is with cans, which can be annoying because they don't stack, but at least you don't instantly die from thirst.

Major Announcement

Ravenhearst 7 Experimental will be releasing soon. This edition of the mod will be available for a19b173 Experimental ONLY. Please make sure you backup a full copy of this experimental. We will NOT be updating these mods to any new experimentals.

These releases are to be considered unfinished and incomplete. DO NOT DOWNLOAD OR PLAY THESE VERSIONS UNLESS YOU FULLY UNDERSTAND THIS  I am releasing these to give players a taste of what to expect, as well as help us in finding bugs in prep for our stable release. We wanted to give our community something to tide them over while we finish our development. This release is not to be considered stable enough for a long term play through

RH 7 will be releasing sometime in Stable. We can not guarantee it will be for 19.0 but that is the goal. Development takes how long it takes. A lot is still missing. If you do not wish to risk wipes or corruptions or do not wish to play an unfinished mod I urge you to wait for Stable. I want to stress that no one is forcing you to install or play. There will be issues and bugs.

To everyone else we look to forward to hearing what you think, and to helping us to shape the best experience possible for you. My time on these forums is very limited and the majority of my development team has moved to Discord only. If you would like your questions answered quickly please join our Discord. We have an amazing community of fellow RH veterans and new players alike that are always willing to help out and offer tips and advice, as well as myself and my team checking in daily. Full patch notes will be posted here over the weekend.

hey @JaxTeller718 , nice to see that things are going on! The A173 has some bugs with the particle system that causes massive FPS drops. Is the an ETA for the next version or will you wait for stable ?

@JaxTeller718 Hey, first time player, installed the mod through the mod launcher on a new copy of the game, and when I create a new world, the game just gets stuck on Building environment... - Any way to fix this?

P.S Tried another type of world gen and it loaded but i'm falling through the map?!?!?

Patch Notes Preview Guys!

https://ravenhearst.enjin.com/home/m/47994860/article/5071504

Please remember Ravenhearst 7 is Experimental. This means expect bugs, wipes, imbalances and missing content. It is not finished. Play is opt in only. You will need to make a copy of 7 Days A19.0b178. The mod will not be updated to any other experimental number. Instructions on how to make a second copy of 7 Days is above.

Downloads are direct only. There is no server install or support currently. Please report any bugs or imbalances. Check the known issues thread. We will not accept any reports from users who modify files, remove files, add files, change anything or modify any thing.

Try using Nitrogen map generator with the Ravenhearst prefabs. Works great.
