PS Ps5 issues haven’t seen any deer 6 hours in

6 hours of game play on ps5

Seen 2 chickens
Zero deer
Infected fist hit from zombie
Broke 40 or so stumps or so got one honey

Any ideas is a patch coming?
 
On Xbox and couldn't find any either. Someone suggested hunting them at night 🌙 and early morning 🌄. Anyone know if the Tracker perk will also help find deer, boar or just smaller critters like chicken 🐔, rabbit 🐇 and snakes 🐍? I'm on day 6 and they started showing up more for some reason.
 
Deer spawn between 1am to 6am I believe. I'm on day 8 and I've already killed quite a few deer. Been finding them right outside of the town that I have a temporary base at.

Yes, it does. The description of each perk level should show which level is needed.

We haven’t gone out at night since we have zombies running and only have wooden spear on day 3
 
If you don't want to put points into tracking (I never bother with it) and are in need of meat, just run down a wilderness road. It makes seeing rabbits and chickens very easy and they like to hang out on the roads.
 
I believe that putting the points into tracking, helps increase animal spawn rates (could be wrong though) but in 10 hours of game play on this map and I've killed several boars and deer and already at the point that I have more meats than I know what to do with lol

That would be the first I have heard of that. But I haven't looked, so maybe it does.
 
I killed a boar just a lil bit ago outside of my base in the pine forest. it was almost midnight in game when I killed it.
 
It was Day 5 (2 hour days) before I saw my first deer. But I'd killed a bunch of chickens/boars from POIs before that (using The Dead Rooster as my base) so meat wasn't an issue.
 
If you can find a fenced in field that has about 4 or 5 round bales of hay, there's always 3 boars in that field sleeping. Usually across the street or near a trader.
 
i only see boars at night or early morning so i think that might be why they are not showing up for you. not too many day sightings of 'em in my games

What level were you when you found the Boars and how many points do you have in tracking? I may need to put some points in the perk that gives you extra meat when harvesting critters.
 
Just put some points in Animal Tracker. Gonna head over to Burnt Forest to test it out on 🐗. Only required 2 points in Perception to track deer and boar. Should be fun.
