Ok good luck then. ;p Also take care of comments #234 and #237 when placing the volumes. Atm it's not completely clear how the volumes have to be placed.^^ I hope one of you guys can find out how the sleeper block / volume system works.

Actually you're supposed to help me with sleeper volumes.^^

That looks fine to me but I am not an expert (the options and volume parameters should be fine). I think there are some unknown conditions which have to be meet (e.g. certain combinations of SleeperVolumeGroups and SleeperVolumeGameStageAdjusts don't seem to work). Maybe Slaan or another more experienced A16 prefaber can help you. I don't know what's wrong in your prefab, sorry layarion.

well now that i have caught up on the rest of the map, i can divert my attention to some help in the forums now.

i got some other projects to do as well though, like make some guides n stuff. might be awhile before i get back to you. ttyl

 
I couldn't spot the exact calculation, but it appears there is a gamestage adjustment to the emptyChance

If you are not getting sleeper spawns, and especially if you see "Triggered empty sleeper volume." in the logs, then you need to raise your gamestage (settime 1000 7 0 should do it) or increase the difficulty adjustment for the sleeper volume, or set it to one of the loot volumes with sleeper groups that have an emptyChance of 0

Just want to say, This is a GREAT prefab editor, thanks for that.

Is it possible to insert a new layer and how to.

Have my base that is 21 high but i want to insert a new layer at 22.

that's easy. Click on 'front view'. After that, click on tools -> insert rows 1 (see screenshot bellow):

Sometimes I'm getting the message, sometimes not. It's quite annoying.^^

I always get either the console message 'triggered empty sleeper volume' or the sleepers, testing everything in either nav or rwg (when i feel like waiting). The only time I entered somewhere that didn't give either, the volume was wrong (before your beautiful addition). Since we've been able to add the volumes via the editor, I honestly think the areas they cover at least are pretty spot on. No message at all and no sleepers means something is wrong with the prefab when it's being inserted via the bbb commands I would guess, defo try loading them up naturally.

After guppy's little experimental prefab I tried, I was pretty stumped at why the empty volume was showing, but yours and stompys' recent posts gives a bit more to go off so there's still stuff i wanna try myself. This is really the only kink in the whole system so far and I feel your pain when the volumes are frustratingly simple that break and I've had more success with more complicated placements.

it's the most recent log, and it never had that magic word anywhere in it. :(

 
New suggestions:

1) recently, for a gun range i made...i had to type "giveself item" a lot and throw them in a box. if i ever have to reload the prefab that'll suck ass. Is it possible to have containers come preloaded with level 600 items, and ammo?

2) Also, possible to have Signs have pre-defined text before placement of the prefab?

 
could you explain what these other methods are? hal's bbb command is the only way i know.
Might be referring to letting the game load the prefab naturally ie from the prefabs.xml file (navesgane).
