I think the point he is trying to make is that it is a lame excuse to say that you are releasing it to streamers "to help you find bugs." Even you have said in the past you released to streamers to build hype. Then after that blow back it was to help find bugs, but we know that isn't the real reason.
You could ask each member of TFP why we release to streamers and get 30+ different answers. There are a multitude of reasons, to some its to screen for bugs, for others its feedback, to the next its to help them for streaming our game, etc. There is no blow back, there is only perception of our reasons.

The media doesn't stream it to 1000's of viewers when they get it either, they just review it without spoilers. You can argue all you want but bottom line is this is a big middle finger to us.
Not to everyone. I think it's a great what their doing. Do I wish I could play st the same time as the streamers? Sure I do. However, if it helps the devs in any way, I'm willing to wait a couple of days instead of getting upset over it. Sounds like the game is going to be even better once it gets in my hands so it's still benefits me.

Are you seriosuly going to split hairs just to prove a point? Its ♥♥♥♥ like that that discourage devs from speaking to the community.

People just don't know when to leave well enough alone. It's not like whining about it now is even going to change anything. The event already happened.

It has nothing to do with me, and it's even none of my business, but every time I see someone complaining about the streamers having access before others, I feel embarrassed for some reason. It's just so petty to complain about a few days.

I kinda want them to delay release an additional day or two with an announcement stating that they delaying the release because of all the entitled, impatient, spoiled brats.

You give people a forum to voice opinions, and they automatically assume that TFP's business becomes some sort of democracy waiting for their vote of approval on how it is conducted.

That is patently false. I have been in charge of the streamer events for the last 3+ years and the points I have made in its favor since the beginning was:

Hype

Exposure to new players

Soft Launch

Fun

From the beginning. There was no lets try this and lets try this and lets try this to try and spin it as some supposed large faction of upset fans giving us blow back. Most are participating and having fun. There will always be those who refuse to go to the party and just sit at home and talk about how lame the party probably was anyway...

Aye, absolutely.

Entitled people are self centered and selfish in thought and nature. They are unable to see why this streamer weekend is important to the developers and the game, since it gives them no immediate reward.

TFP has explained this over and over since the start of the streamer weekends... The streamers don't get a game that is ready for release. They get a game near ready for release, and they become part of the 'test' process, so to speak. Helping the devs find more crucial bugs that they would have missed potentially, or would have taken several weeks longer in testing, before actual releasing the game.

With or without the streamers, the A18 would not have released before today...potentially would have released another week or so later.

It also serves as advertising, and raising hype. Without this, they would not necessarily have the available funds to take 7 Days to Die to the epic levels it is reaching. Who wants another half-arsed unfinished piece of crap game, that you paid for and you have to pay for extra DLC in which they actually finish the game ?? No one... we have enough games doing that. TFP is doing a amazing job in 7 Days.. Look at Youtube the progress from A8, 9 etc, and see where they coming from and how much have been achieved.

a Little patience to have a proper game for a change, is definitely not too much for me. I have wasted tonnes of money on half-arsed games the last year, that I should have rather bought more copies of 7 Days .

In my opinion, this is not based on any scientific papers, journals or statistics published, narcissistic personality disorder has been on a steady and rapid increase world wide. This has been happening for the past 15 or so years. This generation of narcissists along with the next has been increasing due to the emergence of social media and smart phones. Personally I do not bother listening to these types of people as they are toxic to be around or even have in your life for any period of time.

Yeah, at least TFP is not Keen.

Both their "games", Space Engineers and Medieval Engineers, are cursed in a perpetually unfinished state, which if you've ever played them is incredibly disappointing due to how high the potential was for both of them to be amazing games. And they are both voxel engines to boot. Holy heck is the full globe world of ME a thing to behold, but the "gameplay" is barely if at all existant. They are little more than unfinished technical demos, still. Where-as, through thick and thin, at least every 7DTD alpha has been in some level of playable state. And the progress made over time is huge by comparison.
