The console edition / Alpha 15 and 16 are a good example of grime but the game was also just way too dark
I think alpha 20 is perfect in terms of darkness

I love this idea... but due to the limitation of available number of paints, I would probably not want it. I would love those kinds of gritty, grimy paints and textures in POI. But I wouldn't want those in my base. If they could have both nice, clean paints and textures as well as the gritty, grimy ones, then that would be perfect. Since they can't seem to increase the number of available paints/textures, I'd rather stick to ones that are at least decent looking. Of course, many of the ones we have are also not very nice to begin with. Peeling paint on concrete and wood siding paints, for example. Horrible wallpaper "paints". But at least there are some that are nice and clean and work well enough. I would REALLY like to have double or triple the available paint choices, with each one having a variety of color/tint options rather than needing a bunch of the same paint/texture that just have different colors like we have now. I'd choose that over bandits any day.Agreed they are should make some textures more dirty to match the new zombies. Add some grime or make it look darker
Adam the Waster said:-a mall, when I went to the mall it so so Erie with it being so empty I think that would have been made an excellent place in 7dtd. Full of zombies maybe a place protection by the military
Hell yeah that sounds awesome! Have a few areas that are open. Like the whole mall. But the stores are like little POIs.A traditional 2-story interior mall would make an amazing T5/T6 POI. A small theatre at one end, a big food court. Tons of little 800 sq ft shops. And so many zombies roaming the main hallways. I would totally do this if I felt I could keep the look and feel/branding of their existing stores in other POIs.
It could be non-linear, too, which we have too few of these days. Can just run the halls and break into stores in whatever order you choose until its emptied out. Man, this would be awesome. Opry Mills in Nashville would be a perfect basic design, too. Its just a big elongated Q. A main loop with a long tail that goes to the movie theatre.
But the stores are like little POIs.
The way i see it. It's just a big empty Mall with junk all around and Cluder then you have just the main little stores that are built like pois. Kinda like a plaza without the random generation. If you wanted to make the Mall a Tile, you should be able to make the stores actually be POIs and then each RWG effort could rearrange all of the stores. The trouble will be you can't stack POIs on top of each other, so you're probably better off with an outdoor open-air style mall.
If you make the Mall a POI, the stores could be Parts but it arrangement of stores would be less random and your final loot would probably have to be in the Mall itself, not in one of the store Parts. You also run a chance that RWG won't pick any of the parts so let it randomize so you could end up with an empty
You guys are gonna get me divorced, cause I have no self control when it comes to creative works.
