Icebox & Refrigerator + “Chilled Drinks”

By no means is this a super necessary addition, but I think it’s something that could really help to polish gameplay a bit.

First off, Chilled  versions of drinks would be created by leaving various drink items in a filled “Icebox” or powered “refrigerator”.
After a set amount of time they become “chilled”, and become a bit more potent than the normal versions. There are a lot of different effects so to put it simply, it would increase base stats of drinks.

When an item spends too much time outside of a cooling device, it will return to its normal state, with normal stats.

Icebox-

1x1x2 size block that uses snow as a “fuel” source.

Refrigerator-

A powered version of existing fridges. Uses electricity as “energy/fuel” source.

It would make for a nice bonus to enhance items if you top off when you go to base.

If you want refrigerators so much, you need to play Conan Exiles. There, any food spoils if it's not in the refrigerator.

And here, non-melting snow suits me just fine.

Considering people take a stack of drinks with them and spend all day running around doing things, any chilled drink would be good only if you drink it at your base or within a short time of leaving.  I suppose you could carry a cooler with you, but they don't allow carrying an item that has other items inside it, so that wouldn't work without other changes (which basically increases inventory space, so probably not likely).  Besides, you really don't need more "potent" drinks.  We don't need things to have higher bonuses to make things even easier than they already are.

The point is that you would use it around base/outpost areas, yes.
The more potent part is BECAUSE it is really only useful around these areas. It would add to the “home field advantage” as it were.
Megacrush

Moonshine

Learning Elixir

etc would all have the largest effects, and would only require you to drink one instead of multiple to get effect durations (and other bonuses). This would be extra helpful for horde nights and such.

PERSONALLY, I find myself hoarding these items only to be used on blood moons anyways, but never have enough of them to make use of in other areas as well.

By adding this “Chill” Feature, I’d be able to conserve how much I need to use at the base and be able to use the non-chilled ones in other situations, like tier 6&7 missions.

I don't even bother using them.  I don't know that I've ever used any of those you listed.  They aren't necessary, imo.  I know people like to rush levels and speedrun the game, but beyond just getting to a bicycle quickly, I see no need to rush everything just to be finished that much sooner.  You've mentioned in other posts about people getting bored quickly.  Well, if you reach the end more quickly because you're using things that speed up the game, you probably are going to get bored more quickly.

It wouldn't really matter to me because I'd never use it.  But I know some would because they "have to" go as fast as possible and be as efficient as possible.  I could see making food or drink give you a longer lasting effect, but I don't think potency is a good option.

Some parts are too fast because of lack of content (which I hope they fix with updates) and how fast you get higher grade gear and some types of loot.

On the flip side, if you lower various aspects to slow the game down a bit, there are some things that are impacted when they shouldn’t be IMO.

Drinks and foods are one of those things!

That is why I made the suggestion. Rentable crossplay servers are coming soon, and features like this could improve the game in those types of situations.
