Same. But that kinda means keeping zombies largely away from the base all together right?I know I would like to be able to make a realistic type base with doors, gates, etc. It's a tough balancing act for sure but I hope that TFP will be able to find a solution.
Makes me wonder if, for game play purposes, there should be a zombie radar that can be built on a base.
Maybe early game, tin cans that automatically wire together as you place them around the perimeter of your base. Drawings zombies to the cans for a few seconds so you can have a chance to react.
Think multiple screamers may make such a thing hard...
Later, with electricity, motion sensor type large area detection devices might be cool. And maybe siren towers/poles that can draw zombies to them to again, give you time to get to the area and react. Could be cool if these sirens would allow a player to kinda summon zombies or try to. With an area affect that zombies in the chunk have a reduced chance to spawn things like wandering horders and screamers. Effect Last for like 24 hours.
Which is all the stuff and reason behind why I'm curious about TFP's direction.
Sure I MIGHT go concrete base at some point. But if making area defense is the actual direction of the game as opposed to bases that are unreachable by zombies, then some extra game play elements seem to be needed for sure.
