GameServer.LogOn timed out issues - no player can connect my dedicated server.

I started dedicated server, forwarded ports, (26900-26910) but server still goes to time out. (see last row from log). It is pretty annoying, tried clean install of server even with default configuration (nothing changed) but still - GameServer.LogOn timed out, playet who want to join ends with message: waiting for Steam verification.
Any help please?

Complete log from console, I noticed weird path ...Data\/Navezgane... but it works, data are in there.

Did you make sure that your router ports are open to allow people to connect?

Also, is anyone able to connect to this dedi server?

No one, I tried also local connection (by connecting to ip 192.168.1.5) but the same - message: waiting for Steam verification.

 
the same thing happened to me yesterday, only some servers work. Not even in lan could enter my dedicated. This was steam problem. Now it works for me and you?

 
Still same issue,

reinstalled windows from scratch, installed dedicated server only,

Forwarded ports - I tested ports, I have forwarded correct ports but the port tester shows them closed except the ports 8080 (control panel), 8081 (telnet) and  8082 which is the map port (have alloc installed), I can reach any of these services through internet.

I disabled firewall, port 27015 still shown closed, my port forwarding table follows(yep server is on 192.168.1.50)

Your base port is in a range that I hear Steam likes to use. Try something in the 26000 range for your base port to avoid that possible conflict.

Also, your port forwarding chart says 2 external ports for the game. It should be 4. Your base port + 3. For example if you chose 26500 as a base port you should have 26500 through 26503 open in both your firewall and router.

Also "service" on your chart is blank. It should be showing UDP and or TCP.

I dont know what do you mean, I have 30 free ports from 27000 to 27030, the protocols are TCP and UDP (they are not listed here).  Top table row is shifted 2 columns sorry for that. Let me set it up to 26900-26930 and paste the result.

This should be open to tcp/udp. Are you saying you set your router and firewall to open it, and it is still not open?


I am saying I have opened it through the router, and I disabled firewall completely. Strange thing is that ports 8080-8082 are working.

I suspect there must be something wrong with Server application. 

 
Try enableing Steamnetworking. If that works, then your ports are not opened correctly. What's the server ip? I'll try to connect.

 
I made some tests - I did not change port forwarding (stays at 26900 - 26930) and I installed filezilla server, I set filezilla at port 26911, that port is successfully opened when testing from internet. Then I set filezilla server to use all the ports starting from 26900 to 26930 and all of them were working from internet. Port check passed.

So I am still pointing at that there may be issues with server app. 

Try enableing Steamnetworking. If that works, then your ports are not opened correctly. What's the server ip? I'll try to connect.

Update, I was googling to find out how can I find opened ports (listening) at local machine, as I want to see opened ports (for 7days to die),

command for windows is netstat -ab

I am attaching a filtered output, I can currently see that ports 8080 and 8081 are opened and listening for incoming connections (and they works through port forwarding, 8082 is not listed as I removed every mod I had). There is no listening port at 26902 which is set in config, and it should be.

The ports 25282 and 25281 are unknown for me, but I believe the server app wants to connect somewhere.

I got two errors trying to connect to that server.

INF NET: LiteNetLib trying to connect to: (ip address:port)
[NM] DataReceived: bad! (x11)

LiteNetLib: Connection failed: ConnectionFailed

and then

WRN [Steamworks.NET] NET: Requesting rules from TCP failed due to connection problems

(No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it.

Also, based on your error messages, have you tried reinstalling Steam as you may have some bad files there.  Recommended action on the internet is to go into your Steam folder and delete everything but the steamapps folder (your installed games) and steam.exe.  Then launch steam.exe and allow it to redownload all the files it needs.

I am using server on separate machine, there is no Steam client, only Steamcmd and the server files. (and of course W10 OS). I reloaded server software multiple times (and checked). Everything looks ok. I also tested if ports are forwarded with another software, they are. I just dont get it why it does not work.
