Been having a very annoying issue lately where the game will freeze for 1-2 seconds every few minutes. It was fine before and can't say for sure when it started or why.
It happens in both single player and when playing with a friend (he is hosting).
Initially I deleted all saves but my current one. No change.
I copied the GeneratedWorlds, Saves, and SavesLocal folders (C:/users/<username>/appdata/roaming/7daystodie) to another location then uninstalled and reinstalled the game. I deleted every folder related to 7 Days.
Then I started the game and closed it. I copied the 3 folders mentioned above back into the directory to overwrite the exiting files.
This did not help.
Game was on 1 SSD so I moved it to another SSD. no change.
All drives have tons of space left (at least 299 GB of free space).
I was playing with most settings on medium. I even lowered all settings to lowest and still had the issue.
I haven't just deleted everything and start over from nothing yet.
Since it's both local and multiplayer, it seems weird.
I haven't noticed issues with any other games, but I don't really play much else currently.
My PC:
Windows 10 Home
Intel Core I7 8700K 3.7 Ghz
32 GB DDR4 RAM
Sapphire Radeon RX 5600 XT
800 mbps cable internet
