PC F1 console disabled on xbox series X? PC can have it though?

Must be nice to have money to keep upgrading systems whenever a game ya like comes out that goes beyond your PC hardware limitations... or running it on downgraded graphics...  remembering those good 'ol days.. 😁

Splinter Cell saga was one of the games of a many that was a deal breakers for me with the cost of upgrades... better shadowing texture, better stability, different effects, etc ..i bought 1 and was great. then next one came out and they improved apon it in the next story game.. then another came out... i must of dumped thousands either in upgraded parts or flat-out buying a new gaming system in the realm of $1,300 to $2000 ...
Or pay for the best console of $500 and have it till it fails on it's own or they come out with another one in a couple or few years or even a decade.

Each to their own i guess.  😇

well, anyways - F1 offer no harm except to give owners more control over their game and actually Host and be an awesome admin.. now they're like every other player - "powerless" on their own purchased game from when they once had such power.  😭😭😭😭

I have patience and can play games long after they released, especially since most of the games I really like are indy games that could be played on a laptop, or turn-based RPGs. The only game I ever bought a PC for was 7d2d actually, and that PC cost me about $900

The console could cost $0 and it wouldn't make a difference if I want to play different games not available on it, like many of the indy games on steam. Splinter Cell, I don't care, never played it. But sure, my PC costs me a bit more than your console, but I can also do a lot more non-gaming stuff with that PC.

If I count that in, especially that I would need a PC anyway, and the only games-related additional expense is a graphics card for about $250 then an additional console for games would cost me more.

It is nice that a console works for you and is cheaper for you, that is why you have a console. For me a PC works and is actually cheaper than buying both, therefore I have a PC.

Is there anyway you could find out the reason from Sony & Microsoft & tell us because it sounds very fishy that this would be a thing when there are many PS5 games that support keyboard usage & games like ARK & Conan Exile have admin menus in game that you could switch god mode on & off along with fly anytime during the game when playing multiplayer, or if you rented a private server for $10 a month to be admin of one. Either way both games have a admin menu with tweaks so I really would like to know what the exact reason is because it really seems like there is no justification for this only excuses. Even another game which shut down after 3 or 4 years Knights of Valour had a debug menu left in the game which you could access with a keyboard & hitting esc.

It wasn't a smart move on the IGG devs because their game shutdown because people figured it out & abused the leaderboards with everyone being tied for #1 at 0 second clears & gave themselves the premium currency that you had to pay real money for through the psn store. But that wouldn't be the same applicable as to 7dtd here.

I happily await the truth!

Yes Ark and Conan are both good examples of allowing a true God mode creative on Xbox.

Although in past it's been said they are not Voxel based worlds and you can't compare atleast when I used Ark as close to this one that had local coop

Thank you for unlocking topic

As I said godmode is likely not the problem, but other features of F1.

To make a godmode on console accessible you would have to add a UI for turning it on and you possibly need an UI to specify who is allowed to use it in MP games. If you want to add more of the debug menu features, even more changes.  This is a lot more work than it looks on first sight. And a lot more work than non-programmers always think.

In the limited time they had before 1.0 was released this might have been one of the features very low on their agenda. So they just turned off F1 and moved all problems related to this into the future. Or they generally thought godmode wasn't that important, who knows?

This is just my guess. I don't know what the console team will still be adding, at the moment their main focus will probably be testing crossplay. I would suggest that one of you simply asks, maybe in the dev diary where Faatal often answers questions, if godmode will eventually come to console as well.

So I went over a few games on the Xbox since I had gamepass ultimate and wanted to see first hand how mentioned titles handle this (with claims of admin panels, etc.). Really not sure how they got away with it when they have such strict rules against this, but I did bring this up internally after discovering a lot (including using Conan's admin panel to unlock achievements). It'll take some time, and no promises as we do have to bend to Sony/MS final say in this, but we're looking at it. Perhaps we can get a godmode toggle in Creative On games in the meantime.

Thank you Jug. I would be cool with it having to be offline if that helped. Currently creative is lacking so much that it's not really a good way to test base designs and that is what I want it for.
