Isn't early acess and early preview meant to upgrade the game to the release version when it comes out?
I know all that I'm talking about the game I paid for in 2020 was early preview
I've wondered that since 2016.But firstly why you so mad bro? I'm just asking a question you're coming off as mad and what's with you
This right here was exactly the information I was after thank you so much I after 10 hours of research found all that info but not to that depth and only had a rough understanding. You sir have gotten me to fully understand and I don't feel ripped I love the game devs seem cool I have deposed telltale avoided them but had no idea they were linked to the console release otherwise I wouldn't have ever gotten it. But was still happy to support the devs. I accepted I didn't understand something a bought the console version again because the devs aren't to blame for telltales blunder. But seriously thank you so muchIn 2020 the Steam version of 7 Days to Die on PC was an early access title which was promised would be updated to a final state sometime in the future and that customers who bought the early preview version would not have to repurchase once it updated to full release status.
In 2020 the console version for Xbox One and PS4 was a different version from the PC version. It was not an early access title and it was never promised that it would ever be able to be updated to a version that was the same as the PC version. Anyone who purchased the 2020 console version was not purchasing an early preview version of some future product.
The 2024 console version for the current generation consoles is promised to maintain parity with the PC version.
Absolutely true there I had no issue rebuying the game. Only had a problem if I was meant to get it free and more so confused wanted to make sure I wasn't wasting my money. And like in my other reply the devs seem blameless it's telltale that are to blame if there is blame but I suspect just some legal issues or publishing issues back then I have the game on steam gotten 100s of hours xbox got a bit before I noticed how empty it was and was happy to see this was out and was more than happy to show the devs some more love and supportI've wondered that since 2016.
Roland and Meganoth likely provided what you needed. If purchased in 2020 on console you got the old version that stopped getting updates in 2017 when telltale went out of business. Maybe Funpimps got the rights back and removed telltale from game info by the time you purchased it. Either way old one is delisted. Game preview that you can buy now was on sale the other day and does get updates every few months. For the most part I did not mind re buying it as I got plenty of hours out of both versions. Provided updates keep coming I'm cool (even if late)
And this information thank you so much for this was very insightful. I have no idea why the moderator was so agrresive to someone simply confused about something. Was no need to snap at me as I was also getting annoyed agyer hours of research. But you guys helped end the search and clarified everythibg thank you heapsThe missing information may be that telltale was working on a big update 4(?) years ago after their initial release. But then, shortly before that update was finished (according to the developers of that update, a company by the name of Iron Galaxy) Telltale went into bankruptcy and everything was frozen. I.e. the developers didn't get money anymore and had to drop the work. A year later an auction sold all assets left from the now defunct Telltale.
The 7d2d version you can buy now for console is a newly ported version of a much further advanced PC game. Which is also too big now to fit into any of the old consoles, it even has problems fitting into current consoles (mainly it is about not enough memory).
