PC Early acess upgrade

It means that the game isn't finished yet.

It also means that the next major update could cause your old saves to be incompatible because the game is still being developed, and things change.

As the PC version gets updates, the console will as well.

If you are referring to the Legacy console version released by TellTale games, it was never released as Early Access or a Preview Build. The information regarding all of this is extremely thoroughly documented here if you would take the time to do some research.

I know all that I'm talking about the game I paid for in 2020 was early preview it's now got its full release but I can't access it. I've been doing research for hours. I've come to here because I've not found any anwsers and you're just assuming I haven't done any I'll see if your link has anything that can help.

Looking into devs and publishers and it's all still same people no mention of tell-tale anywhere whatsoever the version I got and I know i got an early preview version and early preview is meant to give you the full release that's what I'm getting at which it never did but on pc my early acess version updated and is fine is the new game but console there's the early preview and then the console version which is new which the preview version if you paid for it should be upgraded to the console version

I know all that I'm talking about the game I paid for in 2020 was early preview

Then you should know that the game you bought in 2020 for console was NOT early preview.  That would be the TellTale Games version which was never released as EA or Preview version. It was released as a fully finished title. TFP's 1.0 release on the console did not happen until July of 2024.

So basically you did not research very well, and don't even know what it is you actually purchased.

As has been said literally a million times already, the TellTale Game legacy version cannot be updated. You purchased a finished game, and got what you paid for.

I have done my research even talked with Microsoft about the issue. But firstly why you so mad bro? I'm just asking a question you're coming off as mad and what's with you and this research bit are you going to be helpful and try and understand what I'm talking about or keep being arrogant about this? I'm not being rude and apologies if I've come off as rude or aggressive but like calm down dude I'm asking a question stop assuming I haven't done any research because funny enough I'm still researching this and trying to figure out what has happened ok? So you right to talk and discuss this like adults?

Now where does tell-tale come in I'm not seeing their name on anything anywhere and ea wjere do they come in not seeing their name either legit xbox has two versions one just has two extra words added to is and funnily enough it's the game with all the updates they promised for that preview version but now it's got "console edition" and is in another game preview? That's what I'm not understsnding

I get there's something simple I'm not getting and it probably annoying I'm sorry. But I've paid for this game twice steam and xbox now steam got updated and is the better version they stopped updating the xbox one a while back but said a big update was coming the bug update is release as this new game but according to preview I should've got that. I did not and is that because they listed the new version as a game preview?

Okay finally finding some awnsers to what you're on about however that still breaches the early preview guidelines. And I get your frustration with me now I was not getting something very simple and it was telltale being linked to 7 days because on Microsoft and when doing searches unless you search the words telltale nothing shows they were involved. I appreciate you trying to help even if you were hostile with it but help is still help so thanks

The missing information may be that telltale was working on a big update 4(?) years ago after their initial release. But then, shortly before that update was finished (according to the developers of that update, a company by the name of Iron Galaxy) Telltale went into bankruptcy and everything was frozen. I.e. the developers didn't get money anymore and had to drop the work. A year later an auction sold all assets left from the now defunct Telltale.

The 7d2d version you can buy now for console is a newly ported version of a much further advanced PC game. Which is also too big now to fit into any of the old consoles, it even has problems fitting into current consoles (mainly it is about not enough memory).

In 2020 the Steam version of 7 Days to Die on PC was an early access title which was promised would be updated to a final state sometime in the future and that customers who bought the early preview version would not have to repurchase once it updated to full release status.

In 2020 the console version for Xbox One and PS4 was a different version from the PC version. It was not an early access title and it was never promised that it would ever be able to be updated to a version that was the same as the PC version. Anyone who purchased the 2020 console version was not purchasing an early preview version of some future product.

The 2024 console version for the current generation consoles is promised to maintain parity with the PC version.

But firstly why you so mad bro? I'm just asking a question you're coming off as mad and what's with you
I've wondered that since 2016.

Roland and Meganoth likely provided what you needed. If purchased in 2020 on console you got the old version that stopped getting updates in 2017 when telltale went out of business. Maybe Funpimps got the rights back and removed telltale from game info by the time you purchased it. Either way old one is delisted. Game preview that you can buy now was on sale the other day and does get updates every few months. For the most part I did not mind re buying it as I got plenty of hours out of both versions. Provided updates keep coming I'm cool (even if late)

This right here was exactly the information I was after thank you so much I after 10 hours of research found all that info but not to that depth and only had a rough understanding. You sir have gotten me to fully understand and I don't feel ripped I love the game devs seem cool I have deposed telltale avoided them but had no idea they were linked to the console release otherwise I wouldn't have ever gotten it. But was still happy to support the devs. I accepted I didn't understand something a bought the console version again because the devs aren't to blame for telltales blunder. But seriously thank you so much

Absolutely true there I had no issue rebuying the game. Only had a problem if I was meant to get it free and more so confused wanted to make sure I wasn't wasting my money. And like in my other reply the devs seem blameless it's telltale that are to blame if there is blame but I suspect just some legal issues or publishing issues back then I have the game on steam gotten 100s of hours xbox got a bit before I noticed how empty it was and was happy to see this was out and was more than happy to show the devs some more love and support

And this information thank you so much for this was very insightful. I have no idea why the moderator was so agrresive to someone simply confused about something. Was no need to snap at me as I was also getting annoyed agyer hours of research. But you guys helped end the search and clarified everythibg thank you heaps
