Just realised looking at the XML that the tool and die sets aren't even in the trader secret stashes no matter how high your barter! So I've just made a modlet to give it a chance to spawn for the high level barter level, that way there's less chance of your progress being gimped by RNG.
Pretty sure it is unless I added it and forgot lol

It's somewhere in the normal stash. The trader near my base has had one for sale for quite a while now.

I found the tool and die set very early on. I had issues finding a cooking pot for the best part of the first week and then found four in a kitchen.

It should be in the higher level secret stash considering how important ammo is for horde nights and POI's later game.

One big issue I have found is the experience gained from breaking blocks. The balance of the game is out of hand, the only thing to do to level up is to break blocks. It seems like all other gameplay elements like exploring, killing zeds, crafting and looting is just forgotten. People love different parts of this game but to level up everyone have to do the same. This have gotten worse in the latest versisons. This need to better balanced to make the game more interesting again for different players.

Great movie, great story.

Indeed, loot IS random guys, its part of the game and how you evolve in it. I love that I haven`t found an auger yet, but I dream about it while opening every loot box. I had one in day 2, tier 2 (in previous savegame) and it helped a lot with gaining experience and fortify as an animal, but not now, I am 35 day and have cobblestone base with cobblestone plates as second layer just to imagine,if a night horde comes I could survive. I wont...

Tool and die set is somewhere there, keep looting and enjoy.

I think most everything should be available by trader but just make some things a very high cost so people can get or find things but have multiple ways to do it. loot, selling things, doing jobs, etc not just rely on luck of spawn as we know that can suck.Like trying to win the lottery

(whispering to your left ear) I can find few posts of you complaing about stuff in a17e, but fortunately for you I am part time lazy human.
(loud voice) Keep it up sir, complaining is what real men do not do.

Got tool and die set first week with lucky looter 2nd level. I am lvl 69 now and have 5. Anyone want some ? ;)
*slides 5 euro bill over the table*

Will that make those posts disappear?

Ok, so I haven't been basebuilding yet... but I have a question about the tablesaw (since I did find a few)...

How does this work?... do I HAVE to be at the tablesaw to make certain shapes?...

if so... that's so... f***ing annoying and user UNfriendly... and totally takes away the FUN of basebuilding for me... so each time you run out of the shape u r using or when u just want to try a whole range of shapes, u need to go back at the tablesaw?

I don't mind you need to have it or something... but to actually be next to it to make the shapes... TFP almost doesn't want us to make our own stuff except for the simple stuff...

Huh? Oh, you mean complaining about the Earth. Whew. You obviously haven't monitored his 7D2D posts until recently. I swear he and Royal Deluxe have this weird symbiosis thing going on. Although, Royal addresses his situation with his Superman outfits (not talking about the Batman avatar...) and ~ titanium blocks...
DaVega just needs time for a new crusty surface to appear (before it gets all littered up with 'vegetation' and 'LIFE' again). But remember, while you might only see a hard crusty surface, he's a little 'melt in your mouth' (maybe your whole body) deep down inside.

----

I almost always have 5 beakers by day 20. (since A15.) But, then again I have always had 5-6x as much brass than lead... (in many 7D2D games...)
My wife will give you a call anytime soon mate, she will probably ask you to teach me more of that smooth talking you're good at!

<snipped for attitude>
You can set the table saw crafting a bunch of stuff and then come back later. Just plan ahead a little and know what shapes you need before you go. If you're playing MP then go harvest some resources while you wait.

It's just like a17 forge... it makes all the scrap shapes, I fire it up to cook em, and just go out mining until they are done.
