Hey, so I don't know if this is the right place, but a friend an I were playing on a local host on his computer in version b221, and not more than... 30 minutes ago (at time of writing) and we were kinda messing around in creative and doing stupid stuff with timer relays and speakers, when suddenly 2 Zbears spawned, we killed them no issue, he stepped away to cook food, so I continued to mess with things, and suddenly had a screamer spawned and yelled. I killed her and looked around for her "hoard" to spawn, and it didn't. I thougth nothing of it and went back to setting up the timers, when I had a Feral zombie spawn on my head (more or less), killed it, went back to building and then suddenly I had about.. 20-25 Rad Ferals spawn, and then a handful of construction zombies, and then another 100 or so rad feral spawn again, I brought out a rocket launcher, began to shoot them, didn't do much. I turned to my friend and shot him, and killed him (we were party members and friends in game, bug?), but they kept spawning... we had no idea what was happening, it was only the two of us on the server, friends only, and all the zombies kept spawning in the exact same place, causing massive lag each time another batch spawned.

In the end we ended up killing them with a Super Dev Wrench and Digger, but not before they dug a massive hole in the ground. as we looked over the hole they dug, about 50 more spawned ON my friends head, after I'd dug up the spot where they'd spawned, so he force closed the server and as I went back to re-launch my game (memory leak, was getting a bit high), I noticed the update for 7dtd. I don't know if it was the games way of saying "Hey, update", or if a dev or someone hacked into the game and began to troll us... I just wanted to write this out so SOMEONE would see, and maybe if they've had it happen to them...

Also putting it here cus I think it was a bug with spawning or something....

 
As it wasn't listed in the Known Issues section, I'm now certain that sleeper zombies making zero noise until attacked/attacking is a feature and not a bug, this is disheartening. On a positive note, this means I can play the game while having loud music on and it'll make no difference.

 
Found an issue that if you eat or drink while on the bicycle, it will delete the item as if it were used but will not give you the benefits from using said items. Your water will not replenish nor will your hunger decrease.

Friend updated and was testing things and gave himself max level (300 levels), not enough skill points to fully unlock every single skill point. I don't know if that's intended or not.

 
Thank god they fixed annoying auger noise bug.

Hey Survivalist,Known issues:

  • Player can consume any consumable while mounted in vehicle but will not get the buff/debuff

Found an issue that if you eat or drink while on the bicycle, it will delete the item as if it were used but will not give you the benefits from using said items. Your water will not replenish nor will your hunger decrease.
It's known and listed in the main post. No need to repeat it.

 
You guys oversee that mining tools ARE weapons right now with the best example beeing the axe. And i think its good like that just hard to balance. On the last patch you could mine with powers and also spam them in combat with no perks at all witch was both extremely powerful. Now it uses so much stamina that its completely useless for mining (what is fine if intended) and you really have to think about when you want to use a heavy in combat. Sledge even costs you felt about 3/4 of your stamina without perks.

But i also like the idea of heavys being an option for smashing blocks fast without getting much resources

And here is a thing about armor again since nobody seemed to notice

Another thing i noticed is how broken armor is right now. I tested the speed by setting a startpoint, run for 5 ingame minutes and mark the end point with different armor (accidently all with perfect fitting mod)

Without armor you get nearly twice as far as with a full heavy armor set witch is fine i think but i would still like a way (perk, more mods..) to get a bit faster again. With a full set of light armor you are only slightly faster, about 3-4 blocks further then with heavy.

With abit more testing i also found out that most of the slow comes from the chestpiece. So right now to get an optimal armor/movementspeed ratio the best thing is wearing a full set of heavy armor without the chestpiece. That gives you all the armor rating from 4 heavy items and only slows you a bit while as soon as you wear the chestpiece you feel like rooted.

Thats the point

"players will probably want to specialize in one or two attributes and get the best perks in those attributes and late game there will be less god tier characters who have every perk unlocked"

 
I know i know, not the right topic but i think it will be ignored in the bug-reports, cause of some mods like allocs server fixes :x....



@Faatal, this error (on bottom) was present in alpha 16 on the dedicated server build. i fixed it by disabling the speakerblock (in a16).

Now in a17 it is still present but completly random, after a certain time of running the server without a restart.

What i figured out:

if the errors appears after x time, i can reproduce it by placing some electric-blocks like a turret, switch,...

only a server-restart fixed it for 1 or 2 hours. The error is gone for a while, after a reboot, so it is hard to reproduce.
OnHoldingUpdate has a lot of code in it, so without a line number I can't tell what was null. I tested a trigger and speaker with no errors, so will have to see it this happens to someone running in the editor.
