So, I got through one wave of the 21-day horde like a boss and the zombies barely broke my perimeter. I didn't level up as much as I thought I would on a horde night and realized I only killed maybe 1/6 of the zombies - my traps did the rest. It was about 2 hours to dawn and I had an idea...

I quickly ran out into the middle of the street (in-game), paused, and hit quit. I then went to my game's settings and switched them to the following:

64 enemies

Never Run

Scavenger (don't judge)

Man, the most intense 2 in-game hours I've ever had in single player. Almost had my ass handed to me several times. This is what the game I thought 7DTD is supposed to be. Plenty of time to prepare, scavange, loot, craft, etc. over 7 days for that one period of time when the devil craps out all of his misfits on your front lawn and they just beeline straight to you.

Those damn devil dogs almost did me in right off the bat, then two vultures. Took them out with an AK and ran down the street aways as I took out the zombies in my path with my SMG - reloaded both. I struggled up the steep hill in the road to gain some ground. When I turned around, I didn't know if I saw Jesus and his angels or the devil and his demons... Either way it was a massive horde walking towards me... The biggest I've ever seen in 7DTD. I think I cried a little.

I had 2 AK (one with a x2 scope and the other with a "rod and spring replacement" for higher rate of fire close quarters), an SMG (last resort), rocket launcher, moltov cocktails, and a marksman rifle with a x4 scope.

To make a longer story kinda short, it was a blast blasting those dotards every way I could - past my last 7.62 round and nearing the end of my 9 mil rounds.

I highly suggest trying these settings on a horde night and going out Rambo style. I plan on doing it again on the 28 day horde all night long this time.

Nice! SOunds like fun horde nights really. I've found the dogs have a harder time hitting you if you move directly backwards, but they still get ya haha. I love the AK modded, I put the rod replacement, bipod, extended clip and a foregrip. Sucker shreads through wights and cops even.

Yeah, I think the moving backwards while trying to fight the dogs saved me. I haven't found the other mods yet, but that sounds like an awesome AK. I figured the two AKs for different tasks would help and they did for sure. One for long distance and the other to mow down zombies up close... Less reload time by switching between the two as well. It was a good pair to have. Just need to focus more on making rounds so I have enough for next horde night.

Anytime. All I know of that is it sounds bad asnd hope it gets better, internet searching may be your bet there. Hey, fun's in the early game, eh?
Ya, In stead of being being bitter... I can be just me. After spending time in ICU, that is very close to being in (Solitary Confinement)... Almost 32 + will make you do anything to get out of there. And you have no control until the next test come back.... You cannot have a smoke and enjoy outside, and you have to eat what is best for your diet..... I have to go back in a few weeks... I am going to smuggle cheetos, funyongs, and a case of Coke A Cola. (the real stuff) Nurses might be nice, but some times you just need some good stuff.

I forgot - I will try to get my gaming laptop back. My wife had to pawn it. Years come, and years go. And If anyone wants to know.... Clevo and ProStar are the best Laptops to buy if you find them on a good deal/components.

Hi!
Maybe tis was asked before, then sorry, but we lost the ability to make gas from the "classic way" (corn+fat+water)?
I can make a lot of gas for you, the classic way. Just give me some beer and some cabbage!

Then dig up shale (desert biome) and process it at the Chem Lab.

This may have been asked before, but what is the best way to find iron now? With the iron-rich boulder gardens out of the picture, I have been running low on iron for building. Any clever ideas out there?

Yes. A18 will probably be the version that starts getting a lot more variety in general.
In general? So not only in AI? Sounds good...

Question about recipe books: they're gone for good and replaced with perks completely? Or is there anything planned to be done further about that?

What is up with vehicles disappearing? I lost my bicycle a while back and just now went from my base on foot to harvest boulders and when I got back, my motorcycle was gone. Any ideas on this?

Yeah, I did the same thing. I'm sure disappearing vehicles will be fixed before stable. Gotta be an experimental thing... This is what we signed up for to get a glimpse at the new Alpha lol.

A few people had mentioned many pages back that the bicycle will roll away on you if you park it on any kind of slope at all, and you'll have to chase it down, Not sure if that's still the case in b208.

My wife and I had a pair of bicycles parked outside on flat, even ground in the desert. Logged in to play later, went out side and there was no sign of them. I clipped into the ground with god mode to see if they fell through somewhere, and nadda. We hadn't reset from b199, and we are starting a new RND map today so hopefully that could have been a glitch fixed by regenerating a map (as I have had falling through the world issues a couple times earlier).

I just pick the bike up, so it never disappears on me. It makes no sense to have a bike in my inventory, but at least it stays there until I need it again.

Vehicle Questions:
1. So we don't need locks anymore?

2. Can we still see/find our vehicle on our compass?
1) NO locks needed, but make sure you manually lock the vehicle. Also, if you pick the vehicle up and put in your bag, you'll need to re lock it.

2)Vehicle does show up on your compass as long as its within range.
