So, I got through one wave of the 21-day horde like a boss and the zombies barely broke my perimeter. I didn't level up as much as I thought I would on a horde night and realized I only killed maybe 1/6 of the zombies - my traps did the rest. It was about 2 hours to dawn and I had an idea...
I quickly ran out into the middle of the street (in-game), paused, and hit quit. I then went to my game's settings and switched them to the following:
64 enemies
Never Run
Scavenger (don't judge)
Man, the most intense 2 in-game hours I've ever had in single player. Almost had my ■■■ handed to me several times. This is what the game I thought 7DTD is supposed to be. Plenty of time to prepare, scavange, loot, craft, etc. over 7 days for that one period of time when the devil craps out all of his misfits on your front lawn and they just beeline straight to you.
Those ■■■■ devil dogs almost did me in right off the bat, then two vultures. Took them out with an AK and ran down the street aways as I took out the zombies in my path with my SMG - reloaded both. I struggled up the steep hill in the road to gain some ground. When I turned around, I didn't know if I saw Jesus and his angels or the devil and his demons... Either way it was a massive horde walking towards me... The biggest I've ever seen in 7DTD. I think I cried a little.
I had 2 AK (one with a x2 scope and the other with a "rod and spring replacement" for higher rate of fire close quarters), an SMG (last resort), rocket launcher, moltov cocktails, and a marksman rifle with a x4 scope.
To make a longer story kinda short, it was a blast blasting those dotards every way I could - past my last 7.62 round and nearing the end of my 9 mil rounds.
I highly suggest trying these settings on a horde night and going out Rambo style. I plan on doing it again on the 28 day horde all night long this time.
