ALL the ♥♥♥♥ing food its "parcel" now???!! the stew, the corn...all, even the cornmeal... but what happend? you already have the model in last builds?? what happens? it's a bug? or for early relay? please tell me in estable will be fine please T_T it's destroys my inmersive experience T_T

Drinks are "water", even coffe it's transparent.... please anyone tell me something, i will have nightmares tonights.

oh, thanks a lot for the new deco blocks, they rock!!! and meke me some ideas for modding :) and the broken glass now on hand, now it's like real doritos, white, but really Doritos XDDD my wife will be happy XDDDDD .

Any idea if they're looking at the FOV slider concerns? I played about 10 minutes and had to stop due to the nausea and headache coming on. I love the game but that will make it unplayable for me.

 
YUCK!! Everything is awesome except the run feature if you're using xbox controllers. You have to HOLD DOWN the stick to run, rather than press it, and just stop moving when you want to stop running -- AND WE CAN'T CHANGE IT. My thumb feels like it's going to fall off. Anyone tried having steam over rule the controls so it can be changed?
It's been that way since before this update; in a lot of games your sprint is like that on controllers. Unfortunately, I haven't found a way to fix it yet, so I've just been dealing with it.

I uninstalled the game and reinstalled it and now I get an error saying "content file locked". I've tried changing my beta options to 16.4, to experimental, to opt out, Nothing. I think it's a problem with the passworded streamer beta. Can the devs remove the "enter beta access code to unlock private betas" option? Maybe that will fix it? As of now, no one who has downloaded the game after 17E release can play it!
That field is steam option. The password is gone so it isn’t that field. The only thing the password did was make it so latest_experimental wouldn’t show up. If it is there and you selected it and the game downloaded then you already got past everything the password did. It did not lock any files in the game. Did you try validating your files? Also try disabling EAC and see if that works.

 
Holy crap that is hard! It turns out that zombies have great sight distance during the day. I was trying to climb onto a building to make a basic shelter (after clearing the building), and three zombies followed me up there just as I was setting things down. It took me until after dark to get secured because there were tons of zombies in the street who threatened to do the same as the first three unless I killed them first.

This is awesome.

 
Performance seems worse. Max video settings I’m getting 54 fps but moving around looks more like 20 to 25. Fram rate looks better at medium but looks like washed out crap.

Where can you find the command for Windows Dedicated server to load the beta unstable? I'm, close, but I keep seem to be loading 16.4

The code I used is: steamcmd +login LOGINNAME PASSWORD +force_install_dir ./steamapps/7_Days_To_Die +app_update 294420 -app_update 294420 -beta latest_experimental-unstable validate +quit

Been testing a few things, really enjoying all of it. The music changes and visuals were a nice change, wouldn't mind having more background music (but won't worry too much over it).

Only noticed a few things so far. First, the quest to locate the trader seems to work fine on regular maps, but if i create a random map, it shows it as 0.0 distance away, and doesn't point it out on the map. Not sure if that's intended for randoms, but if it is that's fine.

The other was that if i use the Xbox or PS4 controller, sometimes the cursor seems to get lost on the screen, specifically if i alt-tab to something else or open up an overlay (issue occured only once with the discord and steam overlay, didn't have that problem when using the Xbox button's overlay or the Nvidia window). In being fair, i've had that issue before, where it thinks the Steam window is still in the foreground, so it's not new to 17 and likely noted elsewhere, but it did require me to restart the game rather than just closing windows in the background.

All told, i'm really pleased so far with the update, and this game actually feels like it's *difficult*, much more so than previous versions. Getting infected seems extra punitive (my character was dead within 5 IRL minutes), but really liking everything so far. :)

 
Testers haven’t been able to duplicate this. Any video evidence would be good from anyone experiencing this. I’ve also not seen this. People don’t show up on my map until they are friended.
I cant do a video right now, but if helps, the issue is happening in a LAN connection. I create a server then my brother join it by clicking in the Friends list option. Before I requesting him as a friend, the red bar with his life appears in the topper left side of the screen.

I hope u gotta understand me, I'm from Brazil so english isnt my first language :p

 
Hello, random question but I was wondering if anyone can confirm if we will be able to dye clothes in alpha 17? Right now all the clothes are only available in grey, however I noticed we also have access to dyes. Only problem is that you cannot modify clothes, only weapons and armor. I understand they don't want armor mods and whatnot going into clothes, but I would really like to see a modify option for clothes even if it's just for dye. Will this change in the official release?

 
I haven't played in a while and this update has been a lot of fun so far. I have a question about running zombies. I was clearing a building at 2 PM when two of the sleepers woke up and ran outside after me. I thought zombies only ran at night unless they were feral or special zombies.
It seems that there are more feral/radiated sleepers now. I was clearing a house on day 1 (I thought it looked like a decent started base), and the attic had 2 ferals, 2 radiated ferals and a cop all in a room that was maybe 9X9 with a big...something in the middle of it (I have no idea what it was because I just kept dying trying to see what was up there...mostly out of morbid curiosity.)

My performance seems to be fine, but the game is running my CPU and GPU both above 60% when using the HIGH quality video settings and ~40% on the low. That is causing the cooling fans to run hard and make a fair amount of noise. My only real problem with it is that I have to keep my volume low because of kids sleeping on the other side of the wall and my fan noise is drowning out all the game sounds.

I was able to run A16.4 at the highest video settings without the fans having to kick up like that so I assume there is just optimization needed still in code, but having to wear headphones for gaming sessions is not really my thing.

 
Have so far been unable to lot into a server. Been trying mainly random gen, but game seems to hang at downloading, or starting game. Sound continues to play so I don't think the game is crashing. Anyone else running into this or is it just me?

Had the same impression. In 16.4 the game looked smooth with 50 or even 40 fps, but in 17e I get stutter even with 60fps (after lowering many video options).

Try "latest_experimental" without the "-unstable"

 
It's been that way since before this update; in a lot of games your sprint is like that on controllers. Unfortunately, I haven't found a way to fix it yet, so I've just been dealing with it.
No, Alpha 16.4 definitely did not have this issue. I do remember in Alpha 14 and maybe 15 it did, so I had to use a seperate software program that would toggle buttons if you pressed them 3 times quickly. I can't remember the name of the software though.

 
I tried changing the FOV but after restarting the game it just changes the FOV back to 67 in the file. I'm not sure that is what is causing my vertigo anyway as just walking fwd seems like the ground is not stable. Wobbly is the best way I can describe it. I've tried changing video settings all over to get rid of is, but no luck yet
you might have to change it to read-only.

Some POIs have tough enemies at the end. I don't think it matters what level you are.
