i guess, it is random. some horde nights it is over by 23.00. sometimes many waves coming and ends 04.00. sometimes single or small groups keep coming over night.

whats the highest number of days you played on a map?
a #### ton - like 300+ with cops and ferals and military zeds galore. I dont know how else to convince you; The waves eventually subside before daybreak. It's a design defect. Waves, no matter the size should continuously come until daybreak. That is not the case in A16.

See, that's not a good design. It's upsetting and dissatisfying. Players are waiting 7 days, (sometimes with day/night time set to slow) for a horde night that's suppose to be bigger than the last. Build up their base etc, Then they get a dud? I don't know about you, but when this happens to me, It leaves a really bad taste in my mouth. At least make it a Settings option for the server. I feel like I can't even express how upsetting it is.

"Waves, no matter the size should continuously come until daybreak". No no no that is an awful and terrible idea that completely defeats the purpose of horde nights. They should have a set amount and if you can kill that amount you "win" the night.

Waves not ceasing is a terrible design flaw it completely defeats the point of defending against hordes.

you could look into modding to up the hordes

I believe its in the gamestages xml

yes, it is design problem. only workaround i know is to log out just before hordnight. change day lenght shorter, log in again. this way hordnight is shorter and no waiting for z-s.

It's a known issue with servers. Increase your max zombie count for the server at the VERY least.

you sure your game is up to date?

I have never waited for the horde to start.

they start spawning right at 22:00

everytime

Also, can someone else please acknowledge the elephant in the room - with the lighting shinning through blocks, including ground blocks...? I don't care what type of player you are, getting flashed in the face by a minibike headlight that's driving on the surface while you're 30 blocks underground is immersion-breaking.

they also said they changed the way gamestage is calculated so it will likely ramp up much faster

im not sure thats something tfp can fix. I think its a limitation in the unity engine. the same is true in many games. its always been a peeve of mine but something you just have to live with

Yea, first thing I did when I bought this game years ago... But why hasn't it been addressed in MadMole's post, you know.

its in the xml

each gamestage has a set number of waves with a set number of zeds per wave

you can edit it to increase the waves or number per wave any way you want

if you want to make it 10 waves of 1000 with the max alive 100.

hope your rig can handle that lol

Like I said, then call it Horde "Hour". Currently, when the zeds stop coming. There is literally not Zeds spawned in the game, period. You can run or drive around, go into un-looted POIs and encounter NO Zeds. So what, you "beat" "Horde Night" and suddenly the zombie apocalypse is temporarily suspended for 4 or 5 hours. I call bull***

If I edit the xml, wil that corrupt my saved game files or will it just update them and run those saved files with the those changes? Thanks
