Maybe to make it even more intuitive would be to add a dodge backwards move, where the S key and space bar is pressed and uses more stamina to simulate us actually dodging attacks. The melee back-and-forth playstyle is not *very* different from A16, as everyone speculated. It's somewhat improved, a little harder to time it just right, the zombies are not instantly stunned by hits and can hit you as you hit them.

A few things I noticed during the video (and thanks for the teaser Roland!)What did the Pillsbury Dough Boy see when he looked down?
I get what you are saying it makes perfect sense, you don't have to be a serial killer to get it. LOL!A few things I noticed during the video (and thanks for the teaser Roland!)
- The melee sounds have changed, I think.. made it more obvious that the sounds don't match the impact of the weapon. Is there plans to have different melee sounds for different weapons? Hitting a skull with a sledgehammer won't sound the same as a combat knife stabbing/slicing. (Not that I would have any personal experience heh *shifty eyes*)
- It may be more immersive to have non-stun animations for impact, even if you don't have many pain receptors left, getting hit with a sledge/shovel full power in the head will at least force them to turn a bit or lose a step in their stride.
- This is more of a nitpick, but would it be possible to have a melee weapon animation for the shovel that is different than the animation for digging dirt? As much as a business end of a shovel would hurt flicking it at their face, I would turn that around and swing it like a bat to go for blunt damage and that satisfying *klang* sound with an iron shovel against flesh and bone. (again, not personal experience, don't call the authorities)
- Also: LOL at the ending![]()
I agree with all the points. Also it's weird that the animation looks like (with sledgehammer) he is charging from the right and the hit come from the up..I get what you are saying it makes perfect sense, you don't have to be a serial killer to get it. LOL!
I think you bring up a very good point and the devs should pay attention.
