Lol, don't laugh, I still love chocolate milk. Ok...you can laugh...a little or a lot.
Me too.
What building piece would I like to see? A corner iron bar block with a 90 degree bend in the bars so you could match up the corners of a north-south wall iron bar block with an east-west oriented one and not have the odd gaps. One alpha we built a giant pyramid.
Um, you can already completely close your corners. Unless you're meaning with Iron Bars (Centered)?
+1I use sidesteps really often if i run longer distances to view arround
+1. I tend to run forward, as well as sidestep to maintain situational awareness when traveling. And I pretty much full sprint everywehre when not in my base, unless I go stealth. Backpedaling isn't as much a concern, except that you can run as fast backward as you can forward IRL. Why you can't in a game doesn't really make sense. Any melee or hand to hand fighter will tell you the ability bob (duck) and weave (sidestep, leaning) and get in and out (forward and back) is crucial to controlling range and timing. Taking that away from the players DOES gimp us, regardless of PVP or PVE. Melee and hand to hand is not just about your skill trees, and how hard you can bang, but your strategies for dealing with something or someone that hits back. (I honestly think we should be able to block/parry as well, but it's the Pimp's vision.)
Roland,
Now can we get a .50 cal for the roof [of the Jeep/MOLE]?
I mean, the military has Ma Deuce's coming out the yin yang. We should be able to find them fairly easily, especially at National Guard checkpoints and armories.
And if we have the Ma Deuce we also have the ammo for a .50 caliber rifle, which I really would love to take down the nastiest things. And or ruin someone's Jeep/MOLE by hitting the engine block. A Barret .50 (any variant, or some of the other .50 caliber rifles) would be harder to come by, I think. They aren't as prolific. You can find civilian versions but not a lot of civs have them.
@Devs - Would it be possible to add in swirl anims for the sniper rifle at some point as well as bullet splash? (Not meaning water but water counts, but like the puff of dust or dirt at the point of impact from a ballistic projectile (non arrow/bolt though))
Once the KS goals are done and we're gold, we'll probably do some post gold pvp stuff. We have some new things planned that are going to make pvp much more viable I can't talk about now.
That's great to hear. I'm kind of a carebear in this game right now, but that doesn't mean I haven't dunked plenty of fools. Wanna try my hand at it at some point, so it's good to know this is in the pipeline for the future.
No.
There. That was simple.
(To expand: Remember back in the day when players didn't have any input on their games? The game was released. If you liked it, you bought it. If you thought you might like it, you bought it, then returned it or sold it if it wasn't what you wanted.)
Yeah except IIRC, Steam doesn't let you return stuff you buy anymore. That's why I have a library of crap I don't want or play anymore, after the first time or two running it. - My investment had better pay off then.
Jedo is probably a goonswarm member, if you've played any MMO's at all, you'd gather its best to just ignore him. [Although, he does remind me of one nerd I used to spawn camp back in ultima.]
I forgot Goonswarm wasn't an Eve Online-only group. I miss that game so much but I can't afford the sub. "FREE TO PLAY!" ... Except you cant really do jack without a sub in that game. I tried a few months ago when I got my new rig.
What of noticeable value to a zombie apocalypse survivor do you have in your pockets right now? =P
This immediate moment? Black sweatpants (great quality). Gray t-shirt (good quality).
What do I normally have on me when doing things around the house or out and about?
- Shirt
- Pants
- Shoes or boots (leather, cordage (shoe laces))
- Belt (often, leather, flexible weapon, brass buckle)
- Ontario RAT 1 - (high quality folding pocket knife, made for bushcraft and survival. Great skinner and meat cutter, and you could reliably fight with it if you needed to)
- Small notebook. (Paper, shotgun wadding, useful for making notes (waypoints?), marking trails, drawing things (maps?))
- Pen and pencil (marking, stabbing)
- Butane lighter (fire starting, sterilizing knife and other things)
- Firesteel (ferrocerium rod, useful for firestarting, signaling, will work when too windy for a lighter, works wet or dry, hot or cold)
- Cree Mini LED flashlight (very small, runs on 1 AA battery (can be rechargeable), makes a great fist pack, can be added onto a pistol for a tactical light, has low, high, and high strobe settings, AND you can focus the beam to be thin or decently wide angle. Pretty bright even on low. Runs for a long time. Can get you the Amazon link if you want. There are four of them in my house. 2 for the go bags, 1 for the house in general, 1 for me, also will eventually put them in the car kits., along with the head lamps for the go/bug out bags)
When I carried a wallet, it was either leather or duct tape. Paper money, coinage, improvised lockpick set, and of course cards and ID's can be scrap plastic. (Knew that library card would be useful again, eventually!) Or you can even weaponize a card with a razor, but that's going a little far.
And a lot of the time I also carry a multi-tool with pliers, screw driver, knife blade, scaler, saw, and a few other things on it.
My go bags? ALICE packs with even more gear, and with a ton of room still to go, and it doesn't weigh much, because ounces become pounds at the end of a long trek. Thankfully we (my family and I) live in a town of only around 12,000 people in the middle of the U.S. As soon as this (zombies) started hitting the news we would be evacuating out of town. And we have a set rendezvous point (A few actually). I wot go into the rest of my gear as it would take too long, but it's not really extensive. Not compared to what I would like to have.
A good chunk of that is just disaster preparedness. We live in one of the areas controlled by the Fire Nation. (Wild fires and such are a continual problem.) So we have to be ready to bug out for that, which almost happened earlier this spring/summer. We also live in the most active state in Tornado Alley. So we have to be ready in case God decides our town needs redecorated.
It's not unreasonable to find such things. I think you'd also find that people in the south have similar preps in place for hurricane seasons. Same goes for southern California and similar in regards to earthquakes. Same goes for flood plains.
Be prepared. Always.
