You can’t eat once you are at 100% so no...you can’t keep saturating yourself with food. It is as Xeen said. You get the “overkill” bonus but that’s it.
Did I understand your previous comment correctly that this will not be the case with A-17, but is how it works in A-16?

Currently you lose 1 food for every 100 stamina regenerated. It's really slow. Same with water. 1 water for every 100 stam and/or health regenerated.
That is a genius idea! Tying food/water loss to stamina regeneration ensures (as in real life) the more activity you do, the more "calories" you burn and the more water loss you experience. Very nice!

Plus madmole replied to a tweet from last week saying information or a video soon if I remember correctly
Cant wait to see if they did something with the Light. Totally hyped for this!

Food doesn’t get wasted in this game in regards to hunger. It actually goes to 105% or 110% (for example) even though it doesn’t show past 100%
So if you eat a stew at 99% you still get the full benefit of that stew and visually in the game it appears as though you stay at 100% for a longer time.

Now if you are at 99% health and you eat you will only gain 1%.
Ah nice! Thanks man. The OCD-in-me is satisfied :)

Also: today is a Monday! So will they release today..? ;)

I just got a phonecall that I'm starting 13th of august instead of 24th of september. Even though im quite hyped up now.

Also this.

Just trip someone you are with , no need to be the fastest person!

I have a shirt that says "if zombies start chasing us , I am going to trip you!"

My primary fight rule for early game
- Don't
Lol!

This used to be my rule too, but despite being way safer it has 1 big downside. You don't develop your combat skills and you don't loot.

Yes, you can do it later in the game, but you are gonna waste a lot of time.

Yeah I don't count bows // spikes as fighting :p

If you want to be safe! Only use your bow from a elevated position, and spam those spikes in the ground! Even works when running backwards.

The only people who are going to be harmed by this system are those who insist upon playing with all status bars above 90% at all times.
Can you explain? If I understand the system correctly it is completely linear. It shouldn't be too difficult staying above 90%, you just have to eat and drink a little more often.

And at least at the momentary rate this doesn't sound like something you have to do every minute, it takes some time to drain the stamina bar 10 times. Even if you use a steel axe with a level 1 toon to drain stamina at high speed, you have to wait for the slow stamina regain, so this takes time.

We all agree and hence we all wait for 1 yr. For them it is improvement of what is done. For most user it is just an update which should come in 2-3 months at most. Been a programmer I understand it take time, but been a player I don't why it take so long for something that is working and need improvement.
I still think TFP need a better plan, and certainly 2 team, one that keep A17 fixed adding new feature every 1-2 month, release fixes and improve economy based on user feedback, and other that do A18 quitely in shadows. and then when it is 90% ready they then release the news of a18. Keep players waiting for year and freezing bug fix or minor update in current release will do this.
So, every couple months you think the A18 team should stop all work on A18 to incorporate the new changes the A17 team just added and then spend a couple weeks testing to see what it broke of their new changes? Exactly what kind of programming have you done? Because it doesn't sound like you ever worked on project approaching the size of something like 7 Days.

To add to Gnomaana's point: That release setup would require more wiping by the players. For some people, 1-2 months in is when their save is just getting to the good part.

but still you dont level up your combat skills by using spikes! I prefer starting early with a club, so no need to keep crafting arrows... even though I use them sometimes for sleepers.

Well.. To use a commonly used argument around here: It's Alpha. Wipes are to be expected imho. If one does not want their game to be wiped often, one should not buy into Alpha-stage games.

Yes, and it is true. To a point. But if the wipe/restart cycle is too quick then the Alpha will basically be "unplayable" for most. I put unplayable in quotes because I don't mean literally unplayable just in most players minds.

Of course you know this, this is just your daily troll through the forums.

Edit: Stroll through.... I really need to get my S key looked at.

I would REALLY love for you to develop some POIs for our mod. Hell just release more pois to EVERYONE. You have quite a talent.
I'm in...built a few for Gup and his medieval mod. That mod is going to be awesome..they really are doing some cool things with it.

If you have a server PM me with details...I like to build and help out cause I'm clueless on coding.

All my Pois were built on Gups mod server. They are there if you want to grab them.

Ouch
