I mentioned only those two styles because I regard them as incomplete/unbalanced and therefore not really a working play style. Not because others could use it (I don't play on open servers so I don't really care what other players do) but because they are broken for me. Similar to an overpowered weapon where I would feel my actions have lost any meaning because winning is automatic.

In other words: This is in the widest sense a balancing issue that TFP inavoidably has to tackle just like any other imbalance or bug. And it isn't about removing a play style because players can't just give any broken feature (like an overpowered weapon) the status of a play style and except it to never change. Not that you said that, but the tendency to put the label "play style" on anything a player doesn't want to change is quite common here.
I agree completely. I'm sure by the official release, many of the exploits and balancing will take place. I'm usually a SP player as well so I don't get all crazy when someone says they want to build underground... different strokes, different folks.

I rarely fight the 7th day horde, the loot sucks and I find it just a waste of resources, I'd rather save my ammo for what I enjoy doing: which is exploring and looting. If Zombies had better loot even on blood moon night like, maybe use a diffrent better loot pool for zeds during blood moon? Assuming it can use diffrent pools based on stuff like blood moon or not. I'm not going to go out of my way spending a ton of time and resources to make a zombie tower defense base when the return from doing so is bascally nil due to the drop pools in A16. Not to mention the time/resources you have to waste to repair the base in the morning. Before you argue: well its exp!, I could just run around anytime and kill zombies, its not like they are rare.
To each their own, I personally enjoy the challenge of building a base and trying to defend against the 7th day horde but, I halfheartedly disagree with your assessment that they do not have better loot. My team typically does get better zamby loots during horde night, especially from soldier zambies. I suppose you could argue that, if I found the same number of soldier zambies in the wild, I'd get the same loots but, I don't often see them except on horde night. On the flip side, I agree that overall horde night is a drain on resources but, I think that's intentional and, while annoying, it feels right that defending against a large horde would reduce your stockpiles.

You are here to fight. If others have a different play style than you it does not make them wrong. Sorry but very tired of folks telling others how they should play this game.
And here it is, the usual "don't ruin my play style, you are telling others how to play" post :upset: . No, I don't tell you how to play.

I want to play stealth as much as you for example. But I want to play a stealth **game**.

I want varied gameplay as much as you, but ALL options I have at any point must have advantages **and** disadvantages in a game, or the game is obviously not balanced.

Yeah, everything needs to have a balance to it. It all comes down to the subjective 'too often/quick'. Wiping every month or 2 is not too quick for my taste.
Good to see such an childish response from you!

Edit: Childish = adult.. I think my keyboard needs some checking as well.
That's not too quick for me either. But that kind of schedule would really lower the number of Alpha players you get. That would mean less money for development which is the whole point of Alpha releases.

Being called childish may have actually meant something if it hadn't come from someone that spent an entire day or so making snarky remarks about a Graphic Artist posting pics and videos about ..... wait for it.....the GRAPHICS of the game he is working on.

Guys, I think we should realy step away from "It's coming definitly end of July/ beginning of August". It will be ready when it's done.
Some of you remind me of a wolfpack waiting for a Piece of Meat to be trown at them. What if the Meat isn't what you expected? You'll be howling. I'd rather have TFP make it good, than rush it out. Or in my Case - bake a nice Pecan pie. :)
So, you're making me pecan pie when the next alpha drops? That's downright generous of you!

aaaa cant wait for this update!! will be a blast to play! :p

i dont mind waiting, cus i know it will be awsome, but you should think of splitting up future LARGE updates :)

The thing is they completely rebuilt the game from the ground up to have a better platform for future updates so trust me when I say it will be worth the wait.

wtf... I have NEVER seen anything beeing this brightly orange... the sun... sure... but the surfaces? I mean seriously o_O
You need to travel Earth more, light is amazing at some places depending ot atmosphere, dist particles, wind, clouds, shadows. Hope you see irl something like that..I mean the sunset, not the apocalypce :D

Not sure if this has been asked haven't seen anything about it. It isn't a big deal it is just more out of curiosity. When A17 comes out will the seeds change again and we will start a new seed thread or should all the seeds still be the same?

As someone who is from the panhandle of Texas (plains, semi-arid desert biomes), has visited parts of New Mexico, as well as currently living in Oklahoma, I can tell you folks that those kinds of fireball orange sunsets do happen.

Usually when there's a lot of dust and smoke in the air. sometimes you'll get that kind of light when there are sheets of cirrus clouds in the atmosphere. I just hope that this isnt' every sunset in the new system. I also hope that we have improved clouds and weather effects.

All aboard the hype train!

Hype train choo choo!

I'm working on my "no more underground bunker" strategy. I fixed up a small flagstone house POI and surrounded it with hundreds and hundreds of wooden spikes, and it's working very well.

My guess is they probably will.

All I want is an atmosphere where when it gets dark and while it gets dark the things are goin with cold sweat and fear. They are goin pretty well for that :) )

I agree the 7th day horde is nothing but a bullet sponge and about as useless as tits on a boar right now.
Those tits might be essential to making the boar feel more in line with her true self...

Just deleted A16 and my saved games so I will have a clean slate for A17! I will be playing A17 3.5 seconds earlier than the rest of you.

Not competitive... Nope.
