you dont want to mess with the abuela chanclacareful, Roland has a clown shoe sized chankla and he has been studying with my abuela
Was always wondering about that. Do you know what the theoretical limit is to how how it will go over 100%? Could I for instance (knowing I am going on a long trip) eat my hunger bar up to 200-250%?Food doesn’t get wasted in this game in regards to hunger. It actually goes to 105% or 110% (for example) even though it doesn’t show past 100%
So if you eat a stew at 99% you still get the full benefit of that stew and visually in the game it appears as though you stay at 100% for a longer time.
Now if you are at 99% health and you eat you will only gain 1%.
Thanks! I was wondering about that too...The way I understand it is it will saturate your hunger bar by the full value the food so if you are at 99% and the food value is 10% it will fill it to 109%.
So are you saying it will go over the 99% by the amount of the last food you eat at that level and no more? The way I understand it is it will saturate your hunger bar by the full value the food so if you are at 99% and the food value is 10% it will fill it to 109%.
So to translate... you are asking for no more videos or forum posts just because something that was said could turn out to not be of shippable quality at the next release?
Would it not be easier if you didn't look at the forum if you're not compatible with Early Access games?
Damn! man, that's a week old post that you are referring to"if youre not sure its going to make it, dont mention it. Even you can see the reality in that plea, yes?"
you just missed his point. please read the comment again
You’ll know it AND you’ll loathe playing with such low stamina reserves that you’ll be eating to keep the game enjoyable long before you eat to keep yourself alive.*Death due to dehydration or starvation are still possible, that hasn't changed. But due to how tied together it all is now, you'll know you're hungry or thirsty long before it's a life/death situation.
Thanks for the clarification. It's about the food amount and the duration of each food. It won't fill the bar to 110% but eating/drinking will start a buff that will give you x food over x time so it'll be possible to slam a stew before a big fight to kinda "oversaturate" your food/water.
That's what I'm afraid of. Tying your total available stamina to your current hunger makes it about having an frankly unreasonable surplus of food just to make sure you have enough to do something like mining or swimming out to a supply crate. I'd say putting the stamina debuffs as staggered fractions of the total instead of being exactly 1:1 would be better. Most preferably in fifths. Say if you're above 80% you still have 100% stamina, but if you're at 80% hunger you only have 80% stamina. Then at 60% hunger it's 60% stamina, so on and so forth. In between 60% and 80% hunger you still have 80% stamina. Having 1:1 hunger/stamina drain could cause unforeseen problems, especially as activity degrades the hunger and thus stamina even further. You’ll know it AND you’ll loathe playing with such low stamina reserves that you’ll be eating to keep the game enjoyable long before you eat to keep yourself alive.![]()
Yes, although you won't see it. The calculation will be started and finsihed between frames.Ok, so eating, say a stew, at 99% will keep you at 100% for the duration of the food buff... (I wonder... Will it go: 99 - 100 - 99 -100... and so on)
Well, I have a similar request for him that he has for the developers: I want him to not post any ideas or suggestions on this forum unless he has a majority of forum members already behind his ideas or suggestions. Because I don't want to read about his ideas unless there is a comfortable backing behind it. I don't want to be disappointed either. :smile-new:you just missed his point. please read the comment again
It’s not bad. Most players will be fine with the drain rate of the stamina bar and with the rate at which the max possible stamina diminishes. You can do plenty of activity even at 3/4 of a completely filled bar. That's what I'm afraid of.
