I'd really like to know more about quests, if anyone can share more information on them. When I actually sit down to do some mod planning & writing, I realize I can only do so much without knowing the structure and what's accessible. For instance:
- Can a quest spawn a specific entity in a POI?
Example: "Trader Jimmy might help you. He's over at the church today."
- Can a quest spawn a specific block in a POI?
Example: "Be careful, bandits have booby trapped the place with landmines."
- Can a quest require placing/upgrading/repairing/destroying specific blocks in a POI?
Example: "Fill all the holes in the wall with cobblestone blocks."
- Can a quest spawn a specific item inside a loot container?
Example: "I hid the ammo in the medicine cabinet."
- Can a quest spawn a whole POI?
Example: "Bandits have set up a new campsite nearby."
- Can a quest replace a whole POI?
Example: "We couldn't get in before, but now zombies have breached the garage entrance."
- Are quests finished when the last objective is completed, or do you 'turn them in' to the quest giver, or both?
- Will POI changes, like those above, revert when a quest is completed, or are changes permanent?
