So @MM - great video, lots of cool stuff - love it!

-- FYI I believe the plural of Cactus is Cacti. :)

PS: when it rains will it flood the jeep engine due to those big stacks?

 
Actually, I think it’s a clever use of the DowngradeBlock property. E.g. paintings downgrade to wall safes (sometimes) the same way wood blocks downgrade to wood frames. Which is not to knock it - again, it’s quite clever. And speaking of which...
That would have been my intial thought if I hadn't already seen the aquatic flora. There may been clever use of the new logic and loops in the xml to create a picture that can downgrade to a safe randomly, the two things may not be related.

 
at 5:32 there is a jumping zombie?

it happens when joel go to night time so i could be wrong

nice work with the vehicles physics, seem to me that we are not thrusted anymore into space every time we took a ramp

p.s. i know that it's falling from above, but then it jump into water instead of falling into it

i wont enter my dad into this as he told me as a kid... dont add me to your fights if you cant win them yourself because he wasnt going to win them for me... and he passed away back in 2003.... :(

When you aim with the weapon's viewfinder, why is the crosshair still here ?! It has to disappear when you aim :(

 
look at my avatar... yep that is me and wearing glasses. :) but i am blind in one eye and cant hear from the other eye. :)
Well,that explains why the game is still buggy after y'all give it the green light...

the crosshair indicates where your bullet could end, if you notice with the recoil it get bigger

 
There appear to be plants under the water in the video. That means a plant block and a water block in the same place. That means there's a reasonable possibility of compound blocks.
How else do you get a picture and a wall safe in the same block?

Compound blocks confirmed for A17?
I thought I've seen instances in random gen where there is grass under the water in certain water bodies (mostly shallow lakes) so would this not already be a thing? I never crouched through one to see if there's a air pocket too though (kinda like if you walk/crouch through one of the bushes that yield 1 wood when it rains, the rain stops/lessens-at least an audible change in the rains frequency is noticeable). The instance in the video could be similar. It does look like the normal grass we see on land, but I imagine they will be adding water specific plants in the future.

 
To me, the game is not just gold, it's a type 2a diamond.
I'll take A17 now please and call it better than gold! :)
Is that the type of diamond that you get from putting coal in Cameron's .....well you know? :D

 
The crosshair could increase a bit more when walking and running IMO. It should be more beneficial to stop and aim. Later when you get aiming perks, it could be as it is ATM...

I love the zombie ragdoll when taking damage and that you sometimes can't tell if they're dead or not.

And another thing: I would propose changing mouse steering from toggle to hold left mouse. I can already imagine the confusion of forgetting which state you are in and accidentally turning instead of looking. When you have to hold LMB, it's easier. Just look around and press LMB to actually start turning there...

To toores point about the ragdolling... it appears they are "blown back" by the impact from the shotgun. If I'm right, kudos to the devs who made that happen!
