i go away at map border (usualy set around 10k). i dont build almost anything neither waste time, i just power level prioritize pvp skills and get gear. After im above 100 at least i start thinking about a base, since doing that before is a total waste of time and you cant really defend it anyway.
This is where you lost me. I hate playing the game this way and if this is what it takes to be competitive then no thanks. To each their own, of course, as I know what you describe here is a very popular method of playing the game followed closely by the very popular method of posting on the forums that the game is over too quickly....

 
I think they're rolling their dice on that we won't mind so much once A17 releases. I guess they downgraded their interaction with the community, as a whole.

Nothing wrong with that, I guess. Once A17 hits the streets nobody will care if it took 6 months or 12 months.

People that DO stop playing the game, at this point, will in most cases return to playing it actively once a new alpha is released.
I always take a break between alpha, so I can enjoy new alpha and have much more fun. Than just play it non-stop, before new alpha is released.

We all just need to wait for A17-E release, it's almost there. :smile-new:

It's done when it's done.

it's been like going on two months now and all we have is an update with the silencer, I feel like they should show us more, or talk about more, so many of us are dying figuratively speaking, for an update, a REAL update. They should give us a experimental build for a17 too, then we can give feedback.

Or do we only get updates when that red bar takes a hit ??

I just noticed they mentioned classes in the new skill system section. Eww.Anyone have any info on that ? If its not optional, that may just ruin the game for me.
As of now there are no defined classes. It is simply that you can define your own class by choosing the skills and perks you focus on. So you don't pick "Thief" at the start of the game but you could become a thief-like character by selecting all those skills and perks that support that character type. Does that mean TFP won't ever define starting classes like some of the overhaul mods do?

I actually have no idea.

Ah check. Probab the same camp that considders .x updates to be no REAL updates. They seem to keep holding on to the "its been a year since last update!". Gotcha. ;)

Yes, this is called the 'No true Scotsman fallacy'. People redefine terms and then claim that their way is the 'True' way (or in this case they used the word 'Real'). And then refute any other way as not being a valid counterpoint.

1. Only updates about things I care about are Real updates.

2. There have been no updates about things I care about.

3. There have been no Real Updates.

Logical arguments and their fallacies know no bounds :)

I know this rubs people the wrong way but charisma is folded into intellect for this game. You can think of it as "book smart" intelligence plus "street smart" intelligence equals the whole stat of intellect which is the name of the attribute. Would it be nice for more differentiation? Yes, and I suspect that future mods will probably re-organize the attributes into the classic D&D concepts all with custom benefits and skills and perks. Heck, some people really like the "attribute" of Luck and may want a mod that adds that into the game.

There are definitely going to be some new and creative ways to make this game your own once A17 comes out.

Based on the rate that the health and XP bars are moving, it seems like the experimental'll be out in July. Hope that is the case, or hope it's maybe sooner than that. that would be really nice o-o

We gave up on looking for a release date info, we just worship the bars above and pray they move faster. But they don`t. We give them our patience and bars don`t give a blob. We give time to pimps, not rush them. Not that anyone is asking us, but.. yeah.

I don't know. Just look what would happen to the forum community if they released A17 suddenly, before the Hype Train got warmed up!

Roland would try to save us, but without the power of the Hypr Train at his side, what could he have done??

 
I wish there was a way to know if bandits will make it in to A17.

Having to worry about them sneaking up on me during night, any night, is worth the wait.

Well there's always Guppy's Voltron orgy idea. I don't think it will work but he insists on trying it anyway.

Sometimes the physical buffer of a few states is a good thing....

Even after the release you see that Roland and Lanna, the newly hired A17 early release trauma assistant were unable to save... was that Guppy??

 
Hi guys,

I've read about bandits... and I must say I would agree and it would add to the world depth. Anyway by considering that you'll have zombies each 7 days and also thugs or bandits any other day then the game could become 7 days producing bullets/shells. Of course by taking into consideration the as is way of producing and the four slots per forge you should populate manually: some sort of automation could definitely help with that otherwise in my opinion the whole production logic should be optimized.

 
im pretty sure WE have to go to the bandits, and THEY will give us ammo as drop. maybe rename them as survivors
