Besides making a joke I wanted to highlight how similar your sleeping idea is to spam-crafting: Doing something boring to automatically get some bonus the longer you do it. It surely wouldn't have the negative repercussions spam-crafting had, but there is just so much wrong with that idea in the context of 7D2D where one of the principles is(*) that you should be rewarded for action not for sitting around.my funny was wondering what grieving you could possibly do spam sleeping
I can't remember any game where you only play one character that has ever implemented sleep as real waiting time. And the reason might be similar to the reasons games often implement time compression (one in-game hour== 3 minutes) and, except for ultra-realism (deer hunter, combat sims), try to remove any simulation of waiting. Even fishing is usually changed to a reaction based mini-game even though it is the perfect instance of a hobby consisting mostly of waiting.
(*) At least something like this was one of the reasons to remove spam-crafting according to Roland. I'm sure he will correct me if that is wrong.
Finally somone understands the cultural importance and uniqueness of spam :smile-new:Once I accidentally scrapped a can of spam when I fell asleep at the keyboard and that resulted in me grieving because I was hungry and had no other food
Indeed :smile-new:I mean who wants to sleep in a game?
