An old adage comes to mind:That which doesn't kill you makes you stronger.
That would be Friedrich Nietzsche... who failed to take into account things like Polio.

You might also bleed to death before something makes you stronger :-)

Guys, I've been watching this topic for a few weeks but didn't see a few things (mostly QoL changes).. do u have news about those?

1 - allow to input 4-5 digits as the quantity to craft.

2 - allow to split stacks by any input number and not just by half

3 - Common bug fixes (traders disappearing, shaking hands / weapons out of position, minibikes getting stuck, etc)

Thanks

Check the first post of the dev diary, that's all of the information we have.

Yeah I checked it but thought those small things could be lost as comments somewhere along those 500+ pages. I will keep watching the topic then.. thank you.

Roland is extra ♥♥♥♥ about adding them to the front page.

Because Guppycur is extra ♥♥♥♥ about letting me know if I don’t. :)

Those are pretty hot topic quality of life fixes that quite a lot of people would enjoy. If those get confirmed by Madmole and I don’t add them within an hour I guarantee you that the next 20 posts will be a mixture of scolding me to update and to clean out my inbox.....

You'll get scolded anyway. No good deed goes unpunished and all that. :p

C'mon, admit it. You think of the scoldings as being one of the perks of being a mod.

Hello!

i have been playing 7DTD since A14 And still play strong! love every bit (or almost) (i find a bit silly get get heat for jumping, and i sometimes go into jumping sprees here and there)

so, heres a question, albeit could be small or insignificant

Why isnt there rice/beans as a food? rice/beans is one of the main staples of food of humankind, just as important as corn (wheat!?) i just find odd that there isnt any as a food consumption, either canned in a dish or as a seed to cook

I know its just silly, but for some reason it hasnt stopped bothering me, theres so many dishes that need rice/beans/wheat or could be used for other situations; it could help a lot to have such... not to mention cooking oil or other vegetables, (im thinking lettuces, tomatoes, and some others more, including lemons/oranges/apples and even.. dare i?? salt? smoking meat is survival 101 in many areas in order to preserve food).

I sincerely hope madmole would give it a tought to implement some extra dishes in our post-apocalypse dietary options

Thank you!

I see this update mostly as a Dev and modders "Quality of Life" update but a needed update none the less. I also think/feel they have some surprises they aren't telling us about. Could be wrong but that's just what it seems like. I'm excited for its release because of all the possibilities it seems like I can do with it and can't wait too see what they do with it themselves.
Yeah.. Well. It was supposed to be the bandit/AI-update.

I think you might be either trolling, or severly underestimating these featues:
- POI Overhaul: New Textures, new Blocks, new Dungeon System with Minibosses: This will be amazing for Immersion, Challenge and Variety. And who says they dont add POIs too? Of course they are!

- The Hog is a Beast of an Machine and with the new Mod System it will get Attachments that will alter its stats or add Features too it. Besides the whole Vehicle System got an promising Overhaul.

- Weapon Mods: As allready discussed on prior pages: The Potential this new System adds is stunning. Not only Firerate or Clip-Size but all kind of stats can and will be altered with Mods of varying Quality that you need to find, trade or fight for. and as far as i understood, the Mod System can and will be applied to gear too.

- Those 3 combined are as cool as one can wish. Together with the new Animations and the new AI ( Bandits, NPCs, Factions ) it will add to an amazing new world in 7 Days to Die.
I'm interested to know where you've read a new AI will come in A17..? Or bandits for that matter.

Might wrote missleading. The 3 named Features are cool as one can wish for A17. Together with the new Animations and the new AI ( Bandits, NPCs, Factions ) where they are working on too, it will add to an amazing new world in 7 Days to Die.

Never said something of confirmed tho.

But its not a secret that they are working on it. Madmole showed us several Pictures and Clips that are indicating or confirming that its beeing worked on. If it will make its way into A17 is another question, but i have no doubt that they are aiming for that.

Im at work and cant review all clips right now, but:

It was shown that they made a new Model for the Trader

Concept Art for Bandits, Factions and Trader Outpost.

We allready saw the Model for the School Bus that will be used for the Trader Outposts.

We know that they hired lots of new guys, AI-Programmers too.

The new Animations they showed us will be used for Bandits too.

TL, DR:

Confirmation: No.

But be a little bit optimistic and have trust in the Pimps.

Im sure they didnt showed all of what they work on, because:

a) some guys always complain about everything #HealthBarGate / #ModGate

b) they want to surprise us.

If you watch movies taking place in Arizona, rice paddies are not a common sight.

Take the list on the first post as confirmed unless told otherwise.

The various "-gates" we have around here are a useful tool to gauge public opinion and a way for the community to brain-storm ideas that might not occur to a small team like the pimps. Over the course of the years in dev diaries have had more gates than a cattle market and they have sometimes had quite an affect on the developmental course of the game. We also have a lot of fun doing it.

While your on Gallifrey would you mind borrowing a TARDIS and dropping us off a copy of the gold release, just don't tell the pimps, paradoxes can be a pain to fix. :-)

yep and chili has beans in it (which is on the new characters toolbelt). if i was in an actual apocalypse, i would be eating dog and cat food before just rice. :)

Well the game takes place in Arizona so I am guessing that The Fun Pimps (TFP's) want to use foods grown in that climate.

When I looked it up on Google. Things like rice and beans were not even in the top ten things grown in that state.

Wheat on the other hand is something that the community here have been asking TFP's to put into the game for some time.

Madmole has also commented that he does not want to put fruit trees in the game. But that posting was some time ago and he may have changed his mind but I don't think so.

Salt mines in Arizona do exist but are not as pure as more commonly used salt and therefore little damand. Who knows. We may see them in the game.

I hope that you find this information useful.

By the way. Welcome to the 7D2D forums. :)
