the A17 has become very nice, but 7 Days was always a game for me in which I could build a nice base, which I can also defend. Unfortunately, this is no longer possible for me. is it the experimental version, or is it so wanted by the game?
I think it is very sad. Also, some of the disposal elements are no longer available in the build menu.

if I still enjoy 7 Days, I doubt vaguely

Sorry for my english
Not a great answer, but you can mod the damage that the zombies do. That's my answer until it's balanced better. Chances are there will be a mod available that can give you more of that feeling as it's really just the damage setting keeping you from doing that.

It was the first night when I checked all of the perks I could go for. But the interesting thing I recognize later is that the cowboy hat you can find in loot is way better in comparison to the plant fiber hat. And you maybe need to go from plant fiber armor to leather armor cuz of the heat stats of scrap armor.
Actually, i've got leather dust , tank top, bermuda, leather armor chest, legs and boots.... But yeah the desert is an unforgiven place... i like it :)

I'll try to find a cowboy hat next time to check the stats.

dont forget the amor cooling mods

Change your design. Get on the roof of a building and create hallways of spikes on the lower level that lead to a way up in the middle somewhere. The perfect design is a spiral. Replace the spikes after each horde. Metal spikes at level 20 are super tough. Turn running zombies off if you like to shoot as they approach. I can build however I like sitting above a maze of spikes. Nothing's gets to me.

my trick, barbed wired turned so it lays on the floor. slows them way down for good killing

Guns are great with mods

What is with the attitude? Did you look into the future and see how it will end up? If you can't wait that long, feel free to change the values in the xml files to exactly what you want.
I was totally bummed out at first with the guns but then I scored a L5 ak and found a few Mods and I am a killing machine as long as I've got ammo. The compound is great too for quite killing. A play style change was necessary however. It's taken me an hour + to go through some of the POIs and have not even went in a bigger one than the Boar facility. The tunnel under it was big suprise and great loot. I love that you have to be careful and make sure you have an exit opening or you'll loose your stuff. A few balancing passes down the road and everything will be fine.

b207 still had the ugly, so b208 is cooking now.
How ugly are we talking? Because b199 was pretty ugly and that got released. Anyway, i hope most of the issues we were having got fixed. Can't wait to see what you guys put out next.

It it not an oversight, since we intentionally removed it. I hated it and I don't think any of us are wanting to bring it back.
Ok, poorly worded, granted. I was tired from a long days work and today wasn't much better...I will attempt to restate.

I cannot complain about not getting my monies worth with the many hours I have invested in the game, but the current build is the first to leave me feeling that I need to start looking for mods. However if scuttlebutt is right there wont be any that do what I want. If this is the case, welp, either I can hope and pray that the vocal minority agree with me or I guess I will have to move on.

A17 has a lot of great new content, and potentially great replayability, just not as is, and after 18 months waiting my patience is gone.

I wonder, now that the "sensed - spotted" eye in crouch mode is gone, are zombie footstep sounds going to be a thing..?
Would sure help with the current ninja zombies.
i can tell by sound direction, where zombie or boar comes. i hear sometimes footsteps. if i can not detect direction right away, i turn little bit left and right and then i surely can tell, wher the sound comes from.

Sounds like you need to play another game for awhile. No game is worth getting upset about.

Fataal, when a new build is being made, do you guys make changes to code as you see fit, and then is the whole thing ran through a compiling process of sorts? I'm just curious I've never done coding and such like this.

Zombie xp is coming down and other xp up. I think.
I hope this will be. It was sad in multiplayer when the people who mainly went out and looted leveled up way faster than the people who spent time gathering and building and farming. Fighting and looting is important, but so is gathering, building, and farming. The people who focused on making sure that the base was running well felt left behind. In late game, you have enough skill points to use on both fighting skills and other survival skills, so that people can take turns going out looting and killing. But in early game, this is hard to do.

Well I'm screwed, lol. I never went looking, leveled so fast just from crafting and building. Guess just gotta know the best way to do it.
