BTW I am not sure, but I saw some streamer had problem and I observe it myself that power attack miss like 50% time. is that bug or intended feature? regular attack almost every time works.

Guys i have a problem, connection in multiplayer takes too long. Anyone having the same issue?

- - - Updated - - -

Hi roland multiplayer connection takes a lot of time, any tip of how to fix it?

The penalties are not hard at all, you are still better than a new character who just spawned because you can keep all your base perks that have no requirement no matter what. Having consequences increases the feeling of gratitude when you do survive a tough situation and should make you strive to not die if you dislike the penalties that much. I'm thinking of some hard to craft grandpa's rejuvinating oil or something that takes away the sting of death though, but haven't had time to make it yet.

At this point, adding anything that helps remove the death debuff negates the sole purpose of said debuff which is just a terrible idea.

If theres a way to make a potion that removes such an important debuff on death, people will just make a couple of potions and rush POI's for loot ignoring the threat because they have a special item that cures their problems.

Instead of making it easier, make it harder. Make infection mean something, make a small minigame of sorts of needing to change bandages and using medication to stop infection.

I have seen on a couple of streams people dying on horde night and jumping into zombie hordes to get their stuff back from the backpack. Make a cooldown on a sleeping bag so a second respawn on it takes 10 min or more, so you can only respawn on a random location thus preventing people from abusing such mechanic.

Lock nerdpoling on perks obtainable in late game etc. etc.

Death in 7d2d should have more severe consequences, so people plan their way in and out of a POI, not just rush in blindly. There are always lower difficulty options to choose from for people that find the game too hard.

I think everyone noticed how the increased difficulty achieved by new mechanics added more fun and enjoyment when compared to A16.

I agree. Death needs to have a consequence. I've known people who just died so they wouldn't have to get food. Now they may rethink that strategy.

You know the situation

when you are in hurry and want to buy something in a shop.

And in front of you is a 90 year old women that move so slow slower would be impossible

And then she pays her 21,98 Bill in 1 Cent coins ?

Thats the feeling of A17 for me.

Title Changed alpha 17 gamestage calculation

The current gamestage calculation of alpha 17 is as follows.

gameStage = ( playerLevel + daysSurvived ) * gameDifficultyMultiplier.

I would like to increase the influence of daysSurvived on gameStage, but in the above calculation I can not MOD in XML.

so I hope that that will be modified as follows

gameStage = ( playerLevel * playerLevelDifficultyBonus + daysSurvived * daysAliveDifficultyBonus ) * gameDifficultyMultiplier.

Taking my preference as an example, make the following settings for the two newly added parameters.

playerLevelDifficultyBonus = 0.3

daysAliveDifficultyBonus = 11.0

I read few post with late sleeper spawning. I have the same in a lot of POI. I was in maybe 3rd room and went back. Found a lot of zeds in, before seconds, empty rooms. Not hidden, standing in my way out. Even in the small one room homes is this problem, sleepers just pop in when im standing in middle of room. Now, when I want to enter POI, I run deep inside, and when i see first sleeper, i run out again. Usualy found a lot zeds in rooms that were clear. Then I enter poi again and slowly start kiling them...

Whats wrong with possability to cure a debuff, nerdpooling, dying & etc?? Those are ALL ARE YOUR CHOICES .. and I rly like when there is more than one way how to play one game ..

If you enjoy playing true survival that JUST DO IT, and dont use those things and exploit weeknessies .. do it your way

Whats wrong with others who enjoy different approach to game ..? I you want true survival simulation then play DayZ ..

Yep. I like that too!

I think the devs are more on true survival simulation than causal play and A17e shows it.

Maybe you go play WoW if you want casual or wait for a mod (though most modders make the game harder).

Or play at a lower difficulty level.

Well first of all thank the team for this masterpiece

I've been more than a thousand hours in this game, and in previous alpha like the A16 in

higher difficulty, only dying by high-altitude falls, I consider myself

very good in this game, I also clarify that I play 120 minutes per day, in the game

to make the game longer, this A17 is brutal, unlike other players

the game goes to me at 60 fps and rarely goes down to 35 fps but only for 1 to 2 seconds

I also did not run into big bugs, only until now of the water that hits the

road, (an unimportant bug for me) in terms of performance I'm much better

that the A16, this game feels much more challenging, I go on day 2 and I almost died

on 6 occasions, if it were not for the first aid bandages he would be dead,

I hate the vultures a lot, but I love them too, it's challenging and I love that,

the zombies are well done, (maybe it could be improved when they jump)

It did not scare me in zombie games, now if it scares me, when they appear next to me

without me noticing his presence, I love the difficulty of doing things now, I'm going level 8 and I'm missing points

of skill everywhere, I want to improve everything, but I can not, that forces me to kill more zombies

unlike many, I have no problem with melee weapons, it's so cool, just

you need to aim the shot well and if or if you hit the target, as for the bow, I love it, I pass that

I used to find it downloaded at times, but I do not care, I charge it and now, the game is great

I do not have problems playing it, I would like you not to have to drink a lot of water to keep the

100% your stamina, it would be better, to lose 10% when you are below 50 of water, then no

It affects a lot when it comes to finding resources or killing zombies, in general this game is brutal

Thank you very much for this masterpiece, and we look forward to the stable in the remainder of this year

total thanks!

Really

Alone for the painfull "out of stamina" the game fall from the undisputed 1 Place of my topgames aka best game ever. Down to "unplayable"

Don't be such a drama queen, that's usually my role around here. ^^

Edit: Here's to hoping TFP don't give in to the people wanting it easier/more casual.

DaVegaNL you have the job I wish I'd pursued, I find rocks and rock formations fascinating.
Damn. You just made #4 on my "Best friends ever" list!

Don't worry, 2 of the entities above you are rocks.

But seriously, I really like geology and the general concepts behind it. Just the time-scale is so much different from what people are used to, it's often ver hard to wrap your head around it.

Haha you needed a break :) I am liking the new DaVegaNL ;)
Yep. A17e did that to me.

TFP corrected me with a nice update!

Now, if only the can fix the performance so I can play with my rocks.. Uh.. Friends.
