I just finished watching the new video, I did noticed something.

When he was hacking some zombies, you could see the HP-bar. Nothing new here, i also watch video 5.

But the difference i saw this time the HP-bar wasnt always visible, seems broken when zombie is stunned.

How is this new "HP-bar" system suppose to work??

Hi,

Lets hope they give an option to disable the health bar because that seems like a feature some people would rather not have in the game.

I use my own crosshairs in just about any game. Some have none, some whacky ones... I can't be bothered. =)
Why limit yourself to games? Get your Dremel tool out and etch the cross-hairs on your eyes.

Hard core, yo!

I would bet good money it will be modable in the XML, if nothing else.

Keep your kidney, nothing is confirmed, yet.

i think thats a feature, so when zombie is stuned, you doesnt know if hes dead or still alive. that also means hp bar will probbly stay

Yeah, said feature would work for 5 minutes. After which I memorized how much dmg my weapon does and how many HP each zombie has ;) so I know exactly how many hits it is gonna take

Will the creepy cities with the green haze and scary sounds and rain be brought back? Random cities I mean. I kind of miss the scary and atmospheric feel of the large cities. Big cities should be dangerous as they can house the best stuff. Maybe even have them have their own localised wasteland biome where they spawn and fill em with the most dangerous things even at the start.

Please make cities scary again!

So a couple of weeks ago I made some snarky remark about the HP bar and Kinyajuu messaged me. He was probably annoyed with me but was nice enough to explain. So here is the deal as of now with the HP bars.

1) It is intended to be used solely for boss battles

2) During development they put it on all entities to help with balancing weapon damage and to help in developing the bar itself.

3) It is a work in progress and they have been adjusting and developing it in anticipation of boss battles.

4) It is most likely not going to be in its finished state in time for A17 and thus will be removed for the release.

So there you have it. As of now the plan is the HP bar will not be in the game for regular zombies, animals, and vehicles. It will be implemented for bosses at some point but probably not in time for A17.

I say "As of now" because they can, of course, always change their minds and do it differently if they want.

Roland you might as well tell us now: When is the time A17 will be released.

You can't dance around this one so, come clean and confess. :)
