Darkness Falls: They mostly come out at night...

Yep, that'll do it. So what's happening is you're getting to the trader, the game is going "Ok, the wasteland is now within the active chunk, so spawn the wasteland stuff".

And then, because that stuff is SUPER aggressive, it's running over immediately to ruin your day. :)

Auger and chainsaw should ALSO be fixed, I think.

And yeah, any non-vanilla gun does that. No idea why, not much I can really do about it either.

When you press F6, look ABOVE the list of entities. There's 3 boxes. I don't remember exactly what they say, but it should be something like From Biome Spawner, From Dynamic Spawner, From Static Spawner.

Make sure From Static Spawner is ticked and THEN spawn the guards. That should make them stay on save.

Or you could just take the loss. :p They're intended to NOT respawn to stop folks living in the trader 24/7.

Hey, just trying out this mod and have been lowering the difficulty as I play it. It's interesting, to say the least. I'm curious, should I be bumping into demonic cowboys on day 7? I have hardly ventured more than 400 meters from where I originally spawned. Playing on DFalls-medium4 - survival and I'm a lowly scavenger now :-( have been for a couple of days due to getting wrecked haha.

My friend and I have recently started Darkness falls and we love it so far. I rented a server and installed the mod on it and we have been playing for about two weeks now. We are currently running the Darknessfalls-small 2 map and we realized that the whole contour of the map which is supose to be part wasteland part radiated is completely radiated thus we can go there at all. I modified the map to try to have wasteland on other spot of the map but every piece of wasteland is radiated. I then thought that it was normal and it was just a wasteland feature but realized today while playing my single player game on the same map (not on the server I rented) that the wasteland is not all radiated. Is there a setting for such thin or is there a way to fix that?

My wife and i have been playing on the darkness falls mod for a while now we are pretty far in, we are playing on DF large map i am having real issues finding the big bunker i read on a past reply about the big bunkers being in the oposite corners to caitlin yet iv still had no luck, i know its cheating but iv even clipped through the map to try see it but nothing! can anyone confirm they have found it on the DF large map please im getting frustrated as hell and almost getting to the point i dont want to continue with it.

 
Need some help. I accidentally deleted/stopped a quest. I was working on the 3rd quest for the Laborer. I have tried using the givequest <classtraininglaborer3> both with and w/o the <> but it doesn't recognize this. Is there another way to get to quest 3 or restart the class quest? I have tried re-reading the class books and the mastery with no avail. Help would be appreciated as I really don't feel like restarting the save.

EDIT: I saw a post earlier stating to do name_of_deleted_quest (which is craft_scrap_iron_tools) and it still did not give me the quest. Am I not inputting it correctly? i.e. givequest craft_scrap_iron_tools

If you're near a wasteland, that's why. Biome spawns don't care what level you are. ;)

All wasteland is radiated and requires a hazmat suit to safely enter.

So I've gotten back to vanilla but now after doing the starter quests the locate trader quest starts I get the repeated red 'NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.' error, and strangely the trader coordinates are 0 0.

I tried using pastebin to post output log but it exceeded their 512kb size, this is the snippet I copied from my output log that repeats itself:

- I've uninstalled 7dtd from steam and reinstalled a18.4 stable

- verified local files in steam

- deleted DF mod from the mod launcher

I'm not sure what else I can do to get back to vanilla 7dtd, anyone know where I'm going wrong?
I found out the problem, nothing to do with Darkness Falls, was Nitrogen I didn't have the compo pack installed, all working now. Ugh it was like going cold turkey without my 7dtd fix.

I was hoping the lockdown would allow me more time to work on the mod.

Instead my RL job requires a TON more work. So... that sucks. :D

 
Ok, friend is running DF on the Server, and he told me he was using the nave map so asked him to switch to the DFLarge map so we could gut the bunkers and everything. Problem is, he says when he tried to run the DFLarge map the server said it was a minimum 30 player slots? Is this true, or is the host just being a pain?

 
Is it possible to increase the suspension on the muscle car? It seems to constantly collide with the terrain, even on flat ground, though perhaps it's the spinny thingies on the wheels causing most of the noise in that particular case since it doesn't seem to be slowing down there.

 
So I installed the mod with the launcher but I can't get it to start, it just stays stuck at "initializing world" I also pre synced it and all, the main menu bg is also the modded one already so I know its on but I just can't get it to start. Only error I get is the "DivideByZeroException" in red idk if I did anything wrong, first time for me to install mods for 7 days

 
Hi Khaine - thanks again for the great mod. On day 50 now and level 95. I've been through 3 main Crack-a-books and 2 Retirement Homes and still have only located 7 Research Notes. Seems they drop off research ladies, hazmat guys and sometimes soldiers.

I am playing on Dfalls-Medium3. I notice this map (and maybe others) are different in that they have circles of wasteland biome instead of a normal wasteland biome. I also cannot locate too much burnt biome to search for the bunkers. Haven't seen a single Eve to pick up the quest yet.

Any hints on:

1. Research notes? I think this is linked to #2 below, the bunkers seemed to have the notes commonly in loot.

2. Location of Eve and/or the small bunker. When looking at the map image "preview" - what color are the bunkers? Seems the traders are pink.

just curious, when installing using the mod manager did you click the download from mirror checkbox? Also did you give it about 2-5 minutes to load on initializing world? It does take a couple minutes sometimes, Plus if it is the first time starting, it will say that for about 1-2 minutes then it will say downloading map from server, and then another 2-3 minutes of initializing world.

 
Hey guys, i've been wondering..

Just had the day 7 horde, playing with a friend on RWG, Nomad difficulty, mostly 90 minutes time, sometimes switched to 120 minutes for building, and we both had a gamestage of 70, we were like level 20.

The horde night was INSANE, Bosses spawned, Radiated Cops,Loads of screamers/Spiders Snow Feral Mothers.. Burning zeds, Vultures, literally everything, it lasted for a god damn while, like 20 minutes non-stop til' morning. We were completely out of ammo, had to shoot rockets at the huge piles of zombies stocking up on the walls. Pretty much like gpcstargate mentioned 6 days ago.

Is this supposed to be this hard? Or did something go wrong, because i remember playing this mod on older versions like A17 and reaching pretty much the same point by day 7. But the horde wasn't that crazy; I can't really imagine the amount of grind that's gonna be necessary to pull through day 14.

I don't mind starting a new game, so what could i do that could prevent getting the same result? Or am i playing the mod the wrong way?

Oh I did not have the dl from mirror checked, then I left it at initializing world for maybe like 30 mins, I installed it manually instead which made it work instantly. I couldn't figure out why it wouldn't work on the mod launcher though.

Edit: So the next problem now is my friend cant Launch the copied 7 days where the mod is installed, he's getting the steam login error
