Could we have a different challenge please?

Who? The devs of the unnamed FPS that someone, certainly not me, would be trying to do without a firearm?

Probably you have me confused with Tay1372.
No, I was continuing the example bartek started and you added onto. They said playing without zombies is like playing an FPS without guns, which you said would fine and a good challenge. I agreed that it's a way to play the game, but don't choose to play that way and then complain to the devs about how the game feels when playing that way. Do you understand what I meant by that now?

I know I'm not the only person who really enjoys playing this game without zombies. For me it's pure survival and, don't laugh too loudly, I really enjoy 'doing up' the houses and building new ones from scratch. I explore and build in all biomes except the Wasteland (I'm too scared to go there because of land mines!).

I was really looking forward to version 2.0 because of the environment changes and so far have been enjoying it. Until I checked out the challenges you need to complete in order to get the biome badges so we can progress from biome to biome. They all have a challenge to kill a certain amount and type of zombies. Which means that players like me won't be able to get the badges.

Right now I've turned off biome progression but that's a shame as I won't be able to find out what it's like.

Could the devs set the badge challenges so the requirements are different depending on if enemy spawning is set to on or off? For example, change the zombie challenge to a different type of challenge if enemy spawning is set to 'off' so players who play without zombies can still get the badges and experience that part of the game. I hope that makes sense
I would like to see some new repair jobs either stand alone or with a fetch or clear zombies. Fix a door, repair a roof, build a new appliance, bust out the old one and install a new one, etc.
As for challenges, instead of building just a door, require building a 5x5 shed with a door, install a LCB, build and install the forge and workbench, craft a storage box, craft one each of all the tier one tools and place in the storage crate, upgrade the shed walls and roof over time. Note, once you place a tool in the crate, it counts it so you can then take it out and use it, no need to make 2 each just to keep one in a crate the whole time. I thought I read somewhere TFPs were thinking of a similar challenge but it was about placing tools in the workbench? It could be this too or a mix of both. As the player progresses, they can build a base and move the benches from the shed to their new base or leave it.
