Same situation home boyMy brother does. I use to play this way back in alpha on steam
Are you referring to the Steam Machine? Isn't it supposed to be a “console-like” PC with PC architecture? At least that's what it says on the website. As a side note, with Steam creating a new "console" of their own that will supposedly play every Steam game at 4k (with upscaling), it may end up being possible to use mods on that if you're determined to play on a console instead of a PC. No idea how much that will cost, though.
Yes. It'll be Steam OS "console", which is why I said that mods might end up working on there. Not sure what else it can do beyond play their games. Are you referring to the Steam Machine? Isn't it supposed to be a “console-like” PC with PC architecture? At least that's what it says on the website.
Afaik, it's a PC; maybe more plug'n'play than standard, but not locked from general use. Ofc, we'll have to wait and see, but it's Valve, they respect user agency. Not sure what else it can do beyond play their games.
I assume that the mods will be 100% compatible if it's a PC, but I imagine there will be restrictions with games that have anti-cheat software due to the operating system.
Not likely for this game. As long as the game is also for the current gen consoles, it has to support their hardware even if newer consoles have better hardware. After all, PCs have better hardware but have to be limited by consoles. For their next game, if they don't make it for current gen consoles, then that game could be designed for the next gen console hardware.the PS6 is slated to have significant HP improvements. As is the new Xbox console. So I would say once the new consoles come out things may change.
